Abstract

A wireless device may receive radio resource control messages indicating, among other things, a bandwidth part (BWP) of a cell, having at least first resource blocks (RBs) and second RBs; common frequency resources, including at least the first RBs of the BWP, associated with a multicast and broadcast service (MBS) configured for wireless devices comprising the wireless device; and a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) associated with the MBS. The wireless device may also receive a group common downlink control information (DCI) addressed to the RNTI via the common frequency resources of the BWP. In an embodiment, the group common DCI may indicate a multicast transmission of a transport block to the wireless device. The wireless device may also start a BWP inactivity timer of the cell in response to receiving the group common DCI.

Claims (50)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, radio resource control messages indicating:

a bandwidth part (BWP), of a cell, comprising first resource blocks (RBs) and second RBs;

common frequency resources, comprising the first RBs of the BWP, associated with a multicast and broadcast service (MBS) configured for wireless devices comprising the wireless device; and

a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) associated with the MBS, wherein the radio resource control messages comprise configuration parameters of physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) resources for receiving a downlink control information (DCI) for unicast transmission, in the BWP;

receiving, via the common frequency resources of the BWP, a group common DCI addressed to the RNTI, wherein the group common DCI indicates a multicast transmission of a transport block to the wireless device;

starting a BWP inactivity timer of the cell in response to receiving the group common DCI;

receiving the DCI for unicast transmission via the BWP, addressed to a cell radio network temporary identifier (C-RNTI) associated with the wireless device, indicating a unicast transmission of a second transport block to the wireless device; and

restarting the BWP inactivity timer of the cell in response to receiving the DCI for unicast transmission, in the BWP.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving, via the common frequency resources in the BWP, the transport block scrambled by the RNTI based on receiving the group common DCI.

3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising deactivating the BWP of the cell in response to an expiry of the BWP inactivity timer.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the radio resource control messages further comprise configuration parameters of PDCCHs resources for receiving the group common DCI for the MBS, in the first RBs of the BWP.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the C-RNTI is different from the RNTI associated with the MBS.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving, via the BWP, a DCI indicating a broadcast transmission of a third transport block.

7. The method of claim 6 , further comprising running, without restarting, the BWP inactivity timer of the cell in response to receiving the DCI indicating the broadcast transmission.

8. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive radio resource control messages indicating:

a bandwidth part (BWP), of a cell, comprising first resource blocks (RBs) and second RBs;

common frequency resources, comprising the first RBs of the BWP, associated with a multicast and broadcast service (MBS); and

a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) associated with the MBS;

receive, via the common frequency resources of the BWP, a group common downlink control information (DCI) addressed to the RNTI, wherein the group common DCI indicates a multicast transmission of a transport block;

start a BWP inactivity timer of the cell in response to receiving the group common DCI;

receive a DCI via the BWP indicating a unicast transmission of a second transport block, wherein the radio resource control messages comprise configuration parameters of physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) resources for receiving the second DCI for unicast transmission, in the BWP; and

restart the BWP inactivity timer of the cell in response to receiving the DCI in the BWP.

9. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to receive, via the common frequency resources in the BWP, the transport block scrambled by the RNTI based on receiving the group common DCI.

10. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to deactivate the BWP of the cell in response to an expiry of the BWP inactivity timer.

11. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein the radio resource control messages comprise configuration parameters of PDCCHs resources for receiving the group common DCI for the MBS, in the first RBs of the BWP.

12. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein the DCI in the BWP is addressed to a cell radio network temporary identifier (C-RNTI) associated with the wireless device and the C-RNTI is different from the RNTI associated with the MBS.

13. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to receive, via the BWP, a DCI indicating a broadcast transmission of a transport block.

14. The wireless device of claim 13 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to run, without restarting, the BWP inactivity timer of the cell in response to receiving the DCI indicating the broadcast transmission.

15. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, radio resource control messages indicating:

a bandwidth part (BWP), of a cell, comprising first resource blocks (RBs) and second RBs;

common frequency resources, comprising the first RBs of the BWP, associated with a multicast and broadcast service (MBS); and

a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) associated with the MBS;

receiving, via the common frequency resources of the BWP, a group common downlink control information (DCI) addressed to the RNTI, wherein the group common DCI indicates a multicast transmission of a transport block;

starting a BWP inactivity timer of the cell in response to receiving the group common DCI;

receiving, via the BWP, a DCI indicating a broadcast transmission of a second transport block; and

running, without restarting, the BWP inactivity timer of the cell when receiving the DCI indicating the broadcast transmission.

16. The method of claim 15 , further comprising:

receiving a DCI via the BWP indicating a unicast transmission of a third transport block to the wireless device; and

restarting the BWP inactivity timer of the cell in response to receiving the DCI in the BWP.

17. The method of claim 16 , wherein the third DCI is addressed to a cell network temporary identifier (C-RNTI) associated with the wireless device.

18. The method of claim 17 , wherein the C-RNTI is different from the RNTI associated with the MBS.

19. The method of claim 16 , wherein the radio resource control messages comprise configuration parameters of PDCCHs resources 0 for receiving the DCI for unicast transmission, in the BWP.
