Abstract

In some embodiments, a wireless device transmits, in response to triggering a 2-step random access (RA) procedure, a message A including a preamble and a transport block. The wireless device receives a message B including a RA response that indicates a first number of times to repeat transmission of a hybrid acknowledgement repeat request (HARQ) feedback corresponding to the message B. Then, the wireless device repeats transmission, via an uplink control channel, the HARQ feedback the first number of times.

Claims (55)

1 . A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages indicating:

a plurality of repetition numbers for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for one or more messages of a random access (RA) procedure; and

a plurality of second repetition numbers for transmission of a preamble for the RA procedure;

transmit, after initiating the RA procedure, a first message comprising the preamble based on an RA type of the RA procedure, wherein the first message is transmitted, with a second repetition number of the plurality of second repetition numbers;

receive one or more downlink control information (DCIs):

scheduling the one or more messages of the RA procedure; and

comprising a bit field indicating a repetition number, of the plurality of repetition numbers, for the HARQ feedback for the one or more messages;

receive the one or more messages; and

transmit, via a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), the HARQ feedback, for the one or more messages, with the repetition number.

2 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more messages of the RA procedure comprise a message B (MsgB) of a 2-step RA procedure.

3 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more messages of the RA procedure comprise information of a message 4 (Msg4) of a 4-step RA procedure.

4 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the first message comprises the preamble based on a 2-step RA procedure.

5 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the first message comprises the preamble based on a 4-step RA procedure.

6 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more messages comprise a random access response (RAR) for a preamble transmission.

7 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein:

the one or more RRC messages further indicate a plurality of third repetition numbers of the one or more DCIs for the RA procedure; and

the one or more DCIs are received based on a third repetition number from among the plurality of third repetition numbers.

8 . A base station comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to:

transmit, to a wireless device, one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages indicating:

a plurality of repetition numbers for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for one or more messages of a random access (RA) procedure; and

a plurality of second repetition numbers for reception of a preamble for the RA procedure;

receive, from the wireless device, a first message comprising the preamble based on an RA type of the RA procedure, wherein the first message is received, with a second repetition number of the plurality of second repetition number;

transmit, to the wireless device, one or more downlink control information (DCIs):

scheduling the one or more messages of the RA procedure; and

comprising a bit field indicating a repetition number, of the plurality of repetition numbers, for the HARQ feedback for the one or more messages;

transmit, to the wireless device, the one or more messages; and

receive, from the wireless device, via a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), the HARQ feedback, for the one or more messages, with the repetition number.

9 . The base station of claim 8 , wherein the one or more messages of the RA procedure comprise a message B (MsgB) of a 2-step RA procedure.

10 . The base station of claim 8 , wherein the one or more messages of the RA procedure comprise information of a message 4 (Msg4) of a 4-step RA procedure.

11 . The base station of claim 8 , wherein the first message comprises the preamble based on 2-step RA procedure.

12 . The base station of claim 8 , wherein the first message comprises the preamble based on a 4-step RA procedure.

13 . The base station of claim 8 , wherein the one or more messages comprise a random access response (RAR) for a preamble transmission.

14 . The base station of claim 8 , wherein:

the one or more RRC messages further indicate a plurality of third repetition numbers of the one or more DCIs for the RA procedure; and

the one or more DCIs are transmitted based on a third repetition number from among the plurality of third repetition numbers.

15 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a wireless device, cause the wireless device to:

receive one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages indicating:

a plurality of repetition numbers for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for one or more messages of a random access (RA) procedure; and

a plurality of second repetition numbers for transmission of a preamble for the RA procedure;

transmit, after initiating the RA procedure, a first message comprising the preamble based on an RA type of the RA procedure, wherein the first message is transmitted, with a second repetition number of the plurality of second repetition numbers;

receive one or more downlink control information (DCIs):

scheduling the one or more messages of the RA procedure; and

comprising a bit field indicating a repetition number, of the plurality of repetition numbers, for the HARQ feedback for the one or more messages;

receive the one or more messages; and

transmit, via a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), the HARQ feedback, for the one or more messages, with the repetition number.

16 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more messages of the RA procedure comprise a message B (MsgB) of a 2-step RA procedure.

17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more messages of the RA procedure comprise information of a message 4 (Msg4) of a 4-step RA procedure.
