Abstract

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for wireless communications. A wireless device may receive at least one power configuration parameter from a base station. The at least one power configuration parameter may be based on information that the wireless device sends to the base station.

Claims (88)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a base station central unit (CU) from a wireless device, a first message comprising an indication of a power configuration for the wireless device;

sending, by the base station CU to a base station distributed unit (DU), a second message comprising the indication of the power configuration for the wireless device;

receiving, by the base station CU from the base station DU, a third message comprising at least one power configuration parameter, wherein the at least one power configuration parameter is based on the indication; and

sending, by the base station CU to the wireless device, a fourth message comprising the at least one power configuration parameter.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the power configuration for the wireless device comprises a power preference indication indicating that the wireless device prefers a configuration for power saving.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving the first message comprises receiving the first message forwarded by the base station DU from the wireless device.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one power configuration parameter is determined by the base station DU based on the indication of the power configuration for the wireless device.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first message further comprises at least one of:

random access information,

connection establishment failure information,

bandwidth preference information,

radio link monitoring information,

a logged measurement result, or

mobility history information.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the fourth message further comprises at least one of:

a multicast-broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) configuration parameter,

a beamforming configuration parameter,

a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration parameter, or

a frequency configuration parameter.

7. A method comprising:

receiving, by a base station distributed unit (DU) from a base station central unit (CU), a first message comprising an indication of a power configuration for a wireless device;

sending, by the base station DU to the base station CU, a second message comprising at least one power configuration parameter, wherein the at least one power configuration parameter is based on the indication; and

receiving, by the base station DU from the base station CU, a third message comprising the at least one power configuration parameter.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the power configuration for the wireless device comprises a power preference indication indicating that the wireless device prefers a configuration for power saving.

9. The method of claim 7 , further comprising:

receiving, by the base station DU from the wireless device, a radio resource control (RRC) message comprising the indication of the power configuration for the wireless device; and

sending, by the base station DU to the base station CU, the RRC message.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the RRC message further comprises at least one of:

random access information,

connection establishment failure information,

bandwidth preference information,

radio link monitoring information,

a logged measurement result, or

mobility history information.

11. The method of claim 7 , further comprising:

determining, by the base station DU based on the indication of the power configuration for the wireless device, the at least one power configuration parameter.

12. The method of claim 7 , wherein the third message further comprises at least one of:

a multicast-broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) configuration parameter,

a beamforming configuration parameter,

a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration parameter, or

a frequency configuration parameter.

13. A base station central unit (CU) comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station CU to:

receive, from a wireless device, a first message comprising an indication of a power configuration for the wireless device;

send, to a base station distributed unit (DU), a second message comprising the indication of the power configuration for the wireless device;

receive, from the base station DU, a third message comprising at least one power configuration parameter, wherein the at least one power configuration parameter is based on the indication; and

send, to the wireless device, a fourth message comprising the at least one power configuration parameter.

14. The base station CU of claim 13 , wherein the power configuration for the wireless device comprises a power preference indication indicating that the wireless device prefers a configuration for power saving.

15. The base station CU of claim 13 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station CU to receive the first message by receiving the first message forwarded by the base station DU from the wireless device.

16. The base station CU of claim 13 , wherein the at least one power configuration parameter is determined by the base station DU based on the indication of the power configuration for the wireless device.

17. The base station CU of claim 13 , wherein the first message further comprises at least one of:

random access information,

connection establishment failure information,

bandwidth preference information,

radio link monitoring information,

a logged measurement result, or

mobility history information.

18. The base station CU of claim 13 , wherein the fourth message further comprises at least one of:

a multicast-broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) configuration parameter,

a beamforming configuration parameter,

a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration parameter, or

a frequency configuration parameter.

19. A base station distributed unit (DU) comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station DU to:

receive, from a base station central unit (CU), a first message comprising an indication of a power configuration for a wireless device;

send, to the base station CU, a second message comprising at least one power configuration parameter, wherein the at least one power configuration parameter is based on the indication; and

receive, from the base station CU, a third message comprising the at least one power configuration parameter.

20. The base station DU of claim 19 , wherein the power configuration for the wireless device comprises a power preference indication indicating that the wireless device prefers a configuration for power saving.

21. The base station DU of claim 19 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the base station DU to:

receive, from the wireless device, a radio resource control (RRC) message comprising the indication of the power configuration for the wireless device; and

send, to the base station CU, the RRC message.

22. The base station DU of claim 21 , wherein the RRC message further comprises at least one of:
