Abstract

Embodiments described herein relate to systems and methods for automatically generating content, generating API requests and/or request bodies, structuring user-generated content, and/or generating structured content in collaboration platforms, such as documentation systems, issue tracking systems, project management platforms, and other platforms. The systems and methods described use a network architecture that includes a prompt generation service and a set of one or more purpose-configured large language model instances (LLMs) and/or other trained classifiers or natural language processors used to provide generative responses for content collaboration platforms.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein:

the set of content modification actions comprises a change tone command; and

context-defining text includes multiple pairs of example input phrases and example output phrases.

5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein:

the instructions further comprise instructions for obtaining a role of a user of the client device based on a user-profile managed by the backend of the collaboration platform;

the context-defining text including the multiple pairs of example input phrases and example output phrases is selected based on the role of the user.

6 . The system of claim 4 , wherein:

the content item is a first content item; and

the multiple pairs of example input phrases and example output phrases are based on user-generated content contained in a second content item managed by the collaboration platform.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein:

the context-defining text includes an output schema example; and

the generative response is formatted in accordance with the output schema example.

8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein:

the collaboration platform is a documentation platform of user-generated pages;

the content item is a page of the documentation platform;

the output schema example includes a platform-specific markdown schema; and

the generative response includes markdown content that corresponds to the platform-specific markdown schema.

9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein:

the particular command control of the set of command controls corresponds to a content length modification action; and

the generative response is lengthened or shortened with respect to the portion of the user-generated content in accordance with the content length modification action.

10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein:

the particular command control of the set of command controls corresponds to a brainstorm action; and

the generative response includes a list of predicted discussion topics extracted from the portion of the user-generated content.

11 . A computer-implemented method of providing content editing services for an electronic document of a collaboration platform, the method comprising:

causing display of a graphical user interface on a frontend of the collaboration platform on a client device, the graphical user interface including an editor region displaying user-generated content of the electronic document;

causing display of a command selection interface window overlapping at least a portion of the user-generated content, the command selection interface window including a set of command controls, the set of command controls corresponding to a set of content modification actions;

in response to a user selection of a particular command control of the set of command controls, generating a prompt comprising:

predefined query prompt text selected in accordance with the particular command control;

at least one schema-defining text portion, the schema-defining text portion determined in accordance with a markup formatting item extracted from the electronic document; and

a text-formatted version of the user-generated content of the electronic document;

providing the prompt to an external generative output engine using an application programming interface call over a computer network to the external generative output engine;
