AUTOMATED CONTENT CREATION AND CONTENT SERVICES FOR COLLABORATION PLATFORMS
Embodiments described herein relate to systems and methods for automatically generating content, generating API requests and/or request bodies, structuring user-generated content, and/or generating structured content in collaboration platforms, such as documentation systems, issue tracking systems, project management platforms, and other platforms. The systems and methods described use a network architecture that includes a prompt generation service and a set of one or more purpose-configured large language model instances (LLMs) and/or other trained classifiers or natural language processors used to provide generative responses for content collaboration platforms.
1 . A computer-implemented method of generating a task management board in a collaboration platform, the method comprising:
receive a natural language user input at a frontend of the collaboration platform operating on a client device, the natural language user input specifying a board topic;
subsequent to receiving the natural language user input, generate a prompt, the prompt comprising:
predetermined query prompt text comprising a text-based schema; and
at least a portion of the natural language input;
provide the prompt to an external generative output engine using an application program interface call;
obtain a generative response from the external generative output engine, the generative response including a set of multiple lists, each list including a set of card topics, the set of multiple lists and each respective set of card topics formatted in accordance with the text-based schema;
generate a new task management board comprising:
a set of multiple task stacks, each task stack corresponding to a respective list of the set of multiple lists; and
a respective set of task cards arranged in a respective task stack, each task card of the respective set of task cards corresponding to a respective card topic of the set of card topics; and
cause display of the new task management board in a graphical user interface of the frontend of the collaboration platform.
2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein:
each task stack of the set of multiple task stacks corresponds to a task state;
each task stack of the set of multiple task stacks defines a respective task column;
in response to a select-and-drag operation performed with respect to a particular task card, the particular task card is moved from a first task column to a second task column; and
in response to the movement of the particular task card from the first task column to the second task column, cause a state of the particular task card to change from a first state to a second state.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein:
in response to a user input provided to a particular task card, cause the graphical user interface to display a card detail interface; and
the card detail interfaces includes a card title, a card description, and at least one user identifier identifying a system user associated with the task card.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein:
the card detail interface includes a description region for defining the card description;
immediately subsequent to creation of the particular task card, the card description is free of user-generated content; and
the card description region is user editable.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 4 , wherein:
the prompt is a first prompt;
the card detail interface includes a control for requesting generative content;
in response to a user selection of the control, cause display of a set of command controls;
in response to a user selection of a particular command control of the set of command controls, generate a second prompt having predefined query prompt text corresponding to the particular command control;
provide the second prompt to the external generative output engine; and
in response to receiving the generative response from the external generative output engine, cause the generative response to be displayed.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 5 , wherein:
the card detail interface includes an input control; and
in response to a user selection of the input control, cause the generative response to be entered into the description region of the card detail interface.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 5 , wherein the set of command controls correspond to respective content modification actions including one or more of:
a length modification action;
a tone modification action; or
a content summary action.
8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein:
the prompt is a first prompt;
in response to a user request to create a new task card, a second prompt is generated;
the second prompt comprises text including a listing of existing task cards and a request for a new task card; and
in response to receiving a content result from the external generative output engine, generating a new task card in the new task management board, the new task card having a task title generated by the external generative output engine in response to the second prompt.
9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the set of multiple task stacks define a set of task rows or define a set of task columns.
10 . A computer-implemented method of generating a task management board in a collaboration platform, the method comprising:
causing display of a graphical user interface of a frontend of the collaboration platform, the graphical user interface including the task management board comprising:
a set of task columns; and
a set of task cards including multiple subsets of task cards, each subset of task cards positioned within a respective task column of the set of task columns;
in response to a user selection of a particular card of the set of task cards, cause display of a task detail interface;
in response to a user input provided to the task detail interface, cause display of a set of command controls;
in response to a user selection of a particular command control of the set of command controls, generate a prompt having predefined query prompt text corresponding to the particular command control;
provide the prompt to a generative output engine; and
in response to receiving a generative response from the generative output engine, cause the generative response to be displayed within a region of the card detail interface.
11 . The computer-implemented method of claim 10 , wherein:
the task detail interface comprises a task description region; and
in response to the user selection of the particular control, cause the generative response to be inserted in the task description region.
12 . The computer-implemented method of claim 10 , wherein the set of command controls correspond to content modification actions including one or more of:
a description generation action;
a content length modification action;
a content tone modification action; or
a content summary action.
13 . The computer-implemented method of claim 10 , wherein:
each task column of the set of task columns corresponds to a task state;
in response to a select-and-drag operation performed with respect to the particular task card, the particular task card is moved from a first task column to a second task column; and
in response to the movement of the particular task card from the first task column to the second task column, cause a state of the task card to change from a first state to a second state.
14 . A system for providing a task management board for a collaboration platform, the system comprising:
a backend of the collaboration platform configured to manage tasks for a network of client devices, each client device operating a frontend of the collaboration platform, the backend of the collaboration platform executing on a server having a processing unit and computer readable memory storing instructions for:
receiving a natural language user input at a frontend of the collaboration platform operating on a client device;
subsequent to receiving the natural language user input, generate a prompt, the prompt comprising:
predetermined query prompt text comprising an example text-based schema; and
at least a portion of the natural language user input;
provide the prompt to a generative output engine;
obtain a generative response from the generative output engine, the generative response including a set of multiple lists, each list including a set of card topics, the set of multiple lists and each respective set of card topics formatted in accordance with the example text-based schema;
generate a new task management board comprising:
a set of multiple task groups, each task group corresponding to a respective list of the set of multiple lists; and
a respective set of task cards arranged in a respective task group, each task card of the respective set of task cards corresponding to a respective card topic of the set of card topics; and
cause display of the new task management board in a graphical user interface of the frontend of the collaboration platform.
15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein:
a user selection of a particular card of the respective set of task cards causes display of a card detail interface;
the card detail interface includes a set of user-editable regions; and
the card detail interface includes content generated by the generative output engine in response to the prompt.
16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein:
the prompt is a first prompt;
the card detail interface includes a control for requesting generative content;
in response to a user selection of the control, cause display of a set of command controls;
in response to a user selection of a particular command control of the set of command controls, generate a second prompt having predefined query prompt text corresponding to the particular command control;
provide the second prompt to the generative output engine; and
in response to receiving the generative response from the generative output engine, cause the generative response to be displayed within a region of the card detail interface.
17 . The system of claim 14 , wherein:
the set of command controls correspond to content modification actions including one or more of:
a description generation action;
a content length modification action;
a content tone modification action; or
a content summary action.
18 . The system of claim 14 , wherein:
each task group of the set of multiple task groups defines a column on the graphical user interface; and
the respective set of task cards are arranged vertically within a respective column defined by the respective task group.
19 . The system of claim 18 , wherein movement of a particular task card from a first column associated with a first task group to a second column associated with a second task group causes a state of the particular task card to change from a first state to a second state.
20 . The system of claim 14 , wherein:
the prompt is a first prompt;
in response to a user request to create the new task card, the system is configured to generate a second prompt;
the second prompt comprises text including a listing of existing task cards and a request for a new task card; and
in response to receiving a content result from the generative output engine, generating a new task card in the new task management board, the new task card having a task title generated by the generative output engine.
