Abstract

An air cleaner may include a first body having an inlet and an outlet disposed above the inlet, a second body disposed above the first body and guiding air discharged from the outlet in a radially outward direction. The second body may include a lower cover disposed above the outlet and extending in the radially outward direction as it goes upward from the outlet, an upper cover disposed to be fixed at an upper side of the lower cover, and a top cover disposed above the upper cover to be separated from the lower cover. A magnetic member that makes the top cover to attach to the upper cover is disposed at the top cover or at the upper cover.

Claims (43)

1 . An air cleaner, comprising:

a first body that includes an inlet at a surface of the first body, an outlet disposed above the inlet, and a filter that filters air introduced through the inlet;

a second body disposed above the first body and configured to guide air from the outlet in outward directions, wherein the second body includes:

a lower cover that is disposed above the outlet and extends in the outward directions as the lower cover extends upward from the outlet, wherein the lower cover has a bowl shape in which electronic units are disposed;

an upper cover disposed to be attached to the lower cover, wherein the upper cover covers the electronic units disposed inside of the lower cover; and

a top cover disposed above the upper cover so to be separated from the lower cover, wherein a diameter of the top cover is larger than a diameter of an upper end portion of the lower cover, and wherein a magnetic member is disposed at one of the top cover or the upper cover.

2 . The air cleaner of claim 1 , wherein a plurality of magnetic members are disposed at the upper cover, and wherein a plurality of corresponding members are disposed at the top cover.

3 . The air cleaner of claim 2 , wherein the corresponding members are attached to a lower surface of the top cover, and wherein the magnetic members are disposed at a lower side of the upper cover.

4 . The air cleaner of claim 1 , wherein the magnetic members includes:

a plurality of first magnetic members spaced apart in a circumferential direction to form a virtual circle; and

a plurality of second magnetic members spaced apart in a circumferential direction on a concentric circle having a different radius from the virtual circle of the plurality of first magnetic members.

5 . The air cleaner of claim 4 , wherein a gap between the plurality of first magnetic members in the circumferential direction or a gap between the plurality of second magnetic members in the circumferential direction is longer than a distance in a radial direction between each of the plurality of first magnetic members and each of the plurality of second magnetic members.

6 . The air cleaner of claim 1 , wherein the top cover includes a cover plate, and a boundary wall disposed at an outer periphery of the cover plate and that extends downward from the outer periphery.

7 . The air cleaner of claim 6 , wherein the lower cover includes a guide wall disposed above the outlet and configured to guide air discharged from the outlet, and an edge rib that extends upwardly from an outer end of the guide wall, wherein the upper cover is disposed inside of the edge rib, and wherein the boundary wall is disposed at an outer periphery of the edge rib.

8 . The air cleaner of claim 7 , wherein the upper cover includes a plate, and a plate edge that extends downward from an outer edge of the plate, wherein the upper cover is attached to the lower cover, and wherein the plate edge is disposed inside of the edge rib.

9 . The air cleaner of claim 1 , wherein the upper cover includes a plate, and at least one protruding cover that protrudes upwardly from the plate, and wherein the top cover includes at least one hole to receive the at least one protruding cover.

10 . The air cleaner of claim 9 , wherein the at least one hole is disposed on a circumference of the magnetic member.

11 . The air cleaner of claim 1 , wherein the upper cover includes a plate, a first protruding cover that protrudes upwardly from the plate, and a second protruding cover that protrudes upwardly from the plate, wherein the top cover includes a first hole to receive the first protruding cover, and wherein the top cover includes a second hole to receive the second protruding cover.

12 . The air cleaner of claim 11 , wherein a shape of the first protruding cover is different than a shape of the second protruding cover.

13 . The air cleaner of claim 11 , wherein an upper surface of the first protruding cover and an upper surface of the second protruding cover form a flat surface which is parallel with an upper surface of the top cover.

14 . The air cleaner of claim 11 , wherein the first hole is disposed between two magnetic members and the second hole is disposed between two magnetic members.

15 . An air cleaner, comprising:

a first body that includes an inlet configured to receive air via a peripheral surface of the first body, an outlet disposed above the inlet, and a filter that filters air introduced through the inlet;

a second body disposed above the first body and configured to guide air discharged from the outlet in outward directions, wherein the second body includes:

a lower cover that is disposed above the outlet and configured to extend in the outward directions as the lower cover extends upward from the outlet, wherein the lower cover has a bowl shape in which electronic units are disposed;

a top cover that is disposed above the upper cover and configured to be separated from the lower cover; and

an upper cover disposed between the lower cover and the top cover, the upper cover including a plate that covers the electronic units disposed inside of the lower cover and a protruding cover that protrudes upwardly from the plate, wherein a diameter of the top cover is larger than a diameter of an upper end portion of the lower cover, wherein a plurality of magnetic members are disposed at the upper cover and are configured to connect the top cover to the upper cover, and wherein the protruding cover is disposed between two of the plurality of magnetic members.

16 . The air cleaner of claim 15 , wherein the top cover includes:

a cover plate; and

a plurality of ribs that extend downwardly from the cover plate, wherein a plurality of corresponding members, which correspond to the plurality of magnetic members, are disposed at a lower side of the cover plate, and wherein the plurality of ribs are disposed between the plurality of corresponding members.

17 . The air cleaner of claim 16 , wherein the corresponding members include:

a plurality of first corresponding members disposed on a circle having a constant first radius; and

a plurality of second corresponding members disposed on a circle having a constant second radius which is shorter than the first radius, wherein a hole is disposed on a circumference corresponding to the plurality of first corresponding members.

18 . An air cleaner, comprising:
