Abstract

A detection system according to the present invention includes a control device that detects fraud conducted on a game table by using the image analysis result obtained by an image analysis device. In addition, each game token used in this detection system has a multilayer structure having plastic layers with a plurality of different colors stacked on each other, with a colored layer being provided at least intermediately, and white layers or light-colored layers (not illustrated, but may be any layers lighter in color than the colored layer) being stacked on two sides of the intermediate colored layer. As described above, this game token has a multi-layer structure including the colored layer, with the white layers or light-colored layers (not illustrated, but may be any layers lighter in color than the colored layer) being stacked on the two sides of the intermediate colored layer.

Claims (17)

1 . A game token recognizing system comprising:

a plurality of game tokens, wherein each game token of the plurality of game tokens comprises a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag that stores a type of the game token, wherein each game token of the plurality of game tokens further comprises:

a first layer characterized by a first surface color part corresponding to a type of the game token, wherein the first surface color part of a first type of game token is a different color from the first surface color part of a second type of game token; and

two second layers sandwiching the first layer in a thickness direction of the respective game token and separated from each other by the first layer, wherein each of the two second layers is characterized by a second surface color part not corresponding to the type of the game token, wherein a side surface of each game token includes the first surface color part sandwiched by the two respective second surface color parts;

an image capturing device configured to capture an image of game tokens placed in any of a plurality of bet areas set on a game table;

a measuring device configured to analyze the image to count a number of first layers characterized by the first surface color or a number of second layers characterized by the second surface color of the game tokens and thereby determine a number of game tokens placed in any of the plurality of bet areas set on the game table; and

a determination device configured to determine the type of the game token placed in any of the plurality of bet areas set on the game table based on the first surface color of a side face of the game token.

2 . The game token recognizing system according to claim 1 , wherein each game token of the plurality of game tokens has a round plate shape.

3 . The game token recognizing system according to claim 1 , wherein a pattern made up of the first surface color and the second surface color is formed on the side face of each game token of the plurality of game tokens, and wherein the determination device is configured to determine the type of each game token of the plurality of game tokens based on the first surface color.

4 . The game token recognizing system according to claim 1 , wherein the first surface color is extending in a circumferential direction.

5 . The game token recognizing system according to claim 4 , wherein the first surface color is continuous all the way around on the side face.

6 . The game token recognizing system according to claim 1 , wherein the second surface color is extending in a circumferential direction.

7 . The game token recognizing system according to claim 6 , wherein the second surface color is continuous all the way around on the side face.

8 . The game token recognizing system according to claim 1 , wherein the side face of each game token of the plurality of game tokens has a portion whose surface color changes in a thickness direction.

9 . The game token recognizing system according to claim 1 , wherein the determination device is further configured to determine the type of the game token placed in any of the plurality of bet areas set on the game table by reading the RFID tag.

10 . The game token recognizing system according to claim 1 , wherein the first layer comprises a plurality of separate layers bonded together.

11 . The game token recognizing system according to claim 1 , wherein the RFID tag is embedded in the first layer.
