Abstract

A distributed studio management system includes a computing system having a computer readable memory and a processor. The computing system is associated with a first production facility that is remote to a second production facility. The processor is configured to perform the operations of receiving a set of device commands having commands targeting first and second devices in the first production facility and where the set of device commands are related to the second production facility, enqueuing a first command from the device commands into a first command queue assigned to the first device and a second command from the device commands into a second command queue assigned to the second device according to each device command's synchronized execution times, and causing the first and second devices to execute commands from their respective command queues relative to each other according to the commands' respective synchronized execution times.

Claims (27)

1. A distributed studio management system comprising:

at least one studio computing system including at least one computer readable memory and at least one processor,

wherein the studio computing system is associated with a local first studio production facility that is remote to a remote second studio production facility, and

wherein the at least one processor, upon execution of software instructions stored in the computer readable memory, is configured to perform the operations of:

receiving a set of device commands having commands targeting a first device and a second device in the local first studio production facility and where the set of device commands are related to the remote second studio production facility;

enqueuing a first command from the set of device commands into a first command queue assigned to the first device and a second command from the set of device commands into a second command queue assigned to the second device according to each device command's synchronized execution times; and

causing the first device and the second device to execute commands from their respective command queues relative to each other according to the commands' respective synchronized execution times.

2. The distributed studio management system of claim 1 , wherein the first device includes a display and the second device includes a robot.

3. The distributed studio management system of claim 2 , wherein the first command includes instructions for rendering a visual cue.

4. The distributed studio management system of claim 1 , wherein the first device and the second device include moveable elements in the local first studio production facility.

5. The distributed studio management system of claim 4 , wherein the moveable elements include at least two of the following: a camera, a boom, a robot, a vehicle, a moveable platform, a moveable LED wall, a gimbal, and a prop.

6. The distributed studio management system of claim 1 , wherein the synchronized execution times of commands in the set of device commands are defined based on a latency measured relative to the remote second studio production facility.

7. The distributed studio management system of claim 6 , wherein the at least one processor, upon execution of software instructions, is further configured to perform the operation of measuring the latency relative to the remote second studio production facility.

8. The distributed studio management system of claim 7 , wherein the operation of measuring the latency includes obtaining times based on at least one of the following: a GPS sensor, a network time protocol (NTP), a ping time, a round trip time (RTT), a time to first byte (TTFB), an observed human behavior, a simulation, and a time to execute a command.

9. The distributed studio management system of claim 6 , wherein the synchronized execution times of the commands in the set of device commands are defined relative to at least one execution time of a third command by a third device in the remote second studio production facility.

10. The distributed studio management system of claim 9 , wherein execution of the first command and the second command in the local first studio production facility are out of synch relative to execution of the third command by the third device in the remote second studio production facility.

11. The distributed studio management system of claim 9 , wherein the third device includes at least one of the following: a camera, a boom, a robot, a vehicle, a moveable platform, a moveable LED wall, a gimbal, and a prop.

12. The distributed studio management system of claim 6 , wherein the latency includes a network latency.

13. The distributed studio management system of claim 6 , wherein the local first studio production facility and the remote second studio production facility are geographically separated.

14. The distributed studio management system of claim 13 , wherein the latency between the local first studio production facility and the remote second studio production facility are geographically separated by at least 10 km.

15. The distributed studio management system of claim 6 , wherein the latency is at least 5 ms.

16. The distributed studio management system of claim 1 , wherein the local first studio production facility includes at least one of the following: an outdoor setting, a stage, a LED wall, and a street.

17. The distributed studio management system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor, upon execution of software instructions, is further configured to perform the operation of archiving a result of execution of at least one of the first command and the second command.

18. The distributed studio management system of claim 17 , wherein the result is archived on a notarized ledger stored in the at least one computer readable memory.

19. The distributed studio management system of claim 18 , wherein the notarized ledger includes at least one of the following: a distributed ledger, a blockchain, a smart contract ledger, and a hash graph.

20. The distributed studio management system of claim 18 , wherein the result includes a non-fungible token (NFT) recorded on the notarized ledger.

21. The distributed studio management system of claim 20 , wherein the at least one processor, upon execution of software instructions, is further configured to perform the operation of minting the result as the NFT.
