Abstract

A system comprising a vaporizing device and a central server is described. The vaporizing device includes a housing and a cartridge, received within the housing, the cartridge including a predefined quantity of concentrate and an identification code associated with the concentrate and uniquely identifying the cartridge. The vaporizing device further includes a control unit configured to read the identification code. The vaporizing device further includes a communication unit configured to transmit the identification code to a computing device of a user. The central server includes a database. The central server is configured to receive the identification code from the computing device and retrieve concentrate information corresponding to the identification code from the database. The central server is configured to transmit the concentrate information to the computing device for displaying to the user.

Claims (12)

1. A method of administering a concentrate to a user using a vaporizing device, the method comprising;

receiving a cartridge in the vaporizing device, the cartridge comprising a predefined quantity of the concentrate and an identification code associated with the concentrate, and a plunger structured and arranged to extrude a known quantity of the concentrate from the cartridge, the vaporizing device having a control unit configured to read the identification code, the vaporizing device further having a vaporization chamber in fluid communication with the cartridge to collect the concentrate extruded from the cartridge, the vaporization chamber being disposed physically separate from the cartridge;

reading the identification code from the cartridge;

extruding the concentrate from the cartridge into the vaporization chamber of the vaporizing device; and

vaporizing the concentrate in the vaporization chamber based on the identification code.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising, transmitting the identification code to a computing device of the user.

3. The method of claim 2 , further comprising, displaying the information associated with the concentrate to the user via the computing device, based on the identification code.

4. The method of claim 2 , further comprising, transmitting the identification code to a central server comprising a database, the database comprising a plurality of identification codes and corresponding concentrate information.

5. The method of claim 4 , further comprising, retrieving the corresponding concentration information associated with the concentrate from the central server based on the identification code.

6. The method of claim 5 , further comprising, displaying the corresponding concentration information associated with the concentrate to the user.

7. The method of claim 1 , further including a heating element in thermal communication with the vaporization chamber, the heating element configured to generate heat energy to vaporize the concentrate in the vaporization chamber; the control unit further configured to control the heat energy generated by the heating element based on the identification code of the cartridge.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the identification code uniquely identifies the cartridge.
