Abstract

A lens apparatus includes a shift lens movable in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis of an imaging optical system, an actuator configured to drive the shift lens in a plane orthogonal to the optical axis, a memory storing instructions, and a processor configured to execute the instructions to control the actuator. The actuator includes a first actuator configured to drive the shift lens in a first direction within the plane, and a second actuator configured to drive the shift lens in a second direction within the plane. In driving the shift lens in a third direction different from the first direction and the second direction, the processor controls the actuator so that the first actuator and the second actuator are not simultaneously driven.

Claims (53)

1 . A lens apparatus comprising:

a shift lens movable in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis of an imaging optical system;

an actuator configured to drive the shift lens in a plane orthogonal to the optical axis;

a memory storing instructions; and

a processor configured to execute the instructions to control the actuator,

wherein the actuator includes:

a first actuator configured to drive the shift lens in a first direction within the plane; and

a second actuator configured to drive the shift lens in a second direction within the plane, and

wherein in driving the shift lens in a third direction different from the first direction and the second direction, the processor controls the actuator so that:

in a first mode, the first actuator and the second actuator are driven simultaneously; and

in a second mode, the first actuator and the second actuator are not simultaneously driven.

2 . The lens apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein power suppliable to the first actuator and the second actuator is less than a sum of power required to drive the first actuator and power required to drive the second actuator.

3 . The lens apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein:

the shift lens includes a first shift lens and a second shift lens,

each of the first actuator and the second actuator drives the first shift lens,

the actuator further includes:

a third actuator configured to drive the second shift lens in a fourth direction within the plane; and

a fourth actuator configured to drive the second shift lens in a fifth direction within the plane, and

the processor controls the actuator so that all of the first actuator, the second actuator, the third actuator, and the fourth actuator are not simultaneously driven.

4 . An image pickup apparatus comprising:

a lens apparatus according to claim 1 ,

a camera body that includes an image sensor.

5 . The image pickup apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein the camera body includes:

a mode for combining a plurality of images obtained by shifting the shift lens;

a recording medium configured to record the plurality of images obtained by the image sensor for each shift of the shift lens; and

an image processor configured to generate a combined image of the plurality of images.

6 . The image pickup apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the camera body has a plurality of modes for generating the combined image according to a moving distance of the shift lens.

7 . The image pickup apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the recording medium records a first image among the plurality of images, and then automatically records second and subsequent images according to the plurality of modes.

8 . The image pickup apparatus according to claim 4 , further comprising an acceleration detector.

9 . The image pickup apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein the lens apparatus is attachable to and detachable from the camera body.

10 . A lens apparatus comprising:

a shift lens including a first shift lens and a second shift lens that generate a tilt effect and a shift effect by moving in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis of an imaging optical system;

an actuator configured to drive the first shift lens or the second shift lens in a plane orthogonal to the optical axis;

a memory storing instructions; and

a processor configured to execute the instructions to control the actuator,

wherein the actuator includes:

a first actuator configured to drive the first shift lens or the second shift lens in a first direction within the plane; and

a second actuator configured to drive the first shift lens or the second shift lens in a second direction within the plane, and

wherein in driving the first shift lens or the second shift lens in a third direction different from the first direction and the second direction, the processor controls the actuator so that:

in a first mode, the first actuator and the second actuator are driven simultaneously; and

in a second mode, the first actuator and the second actuator are not simultaneously driven.

11 . The lens apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein power suppliable to the first actuator and the second actuator is less than a sum of power required to drive the first actuator and power required to drive the second actuator.

12 . An image pickup apparatus comprising:

the lens apparatus according to claim 10 ; and

a camera body that includes an image sensor.

13 . The image pickup apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein the camera body includes:

a mode for combining a plurality of images obtained by shifting the shift lens;

a recording medium configured to record the plurality of images obtained by the image sensor for each shift of the shift lens; and

an image processor configured to generate a combined image of the plurality of images.

14 . The image pickup apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein the camera body has a plurality of modes for generating the combined image according to a moving distance of the shift lens.

15 . The image pickup apparatus according to claim 14 , wherein the recording medium records a first image among the plurality of images, and then automatically records second and subsequent images according to the plurality of modes.
