Abstract

Provided is a game control method carried out by a game control device connected to communication terminals used by users who play a game. The device has a storage unit for storing group information indicative of a group consisting of users and game piece information indicative of game pieces constituting one item. The method includes giving a game piece to each user in accordance with a user operation to his/her communication terminal; storing obtained game piece information indicative of the game piece given to each user in the storage unit; determining whether all of the game pieces necessary to constitute the one item indicated by the game piece information are given to users constituting a group indicated by the group information based on the obtained game piece information; and giving a reward to users constituting the group if it is determined that all of the game pieces are given.

Claims (81)

1. A system for controlling a game of a user, the system comprising:

a memory configured to store a group to which a plurality of users belong, a set of first items comprising a predetermined number of first items, and a reward in association with the set of first items; and

circuitry configured to

store, in the memory, a first item associated with a user belonging to the group, the memory having a predetermined limit on a number of first items that the user belonging to the group can be associated with,

determine whether first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items stored in the memory, and

extract the reward in association with the set of the first items from the memory to store the extracted reward in association with the user belonging to the group and/or the group, after detecting that the first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items,

wherein the predetermined limit on the number of first items that the user can be associated with is smaller than the predetermined number of first items that is required to store the extracted reward in association with the user belonging to the group and/or the group.

2. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the circuitry is configured to:

store parameter values for the plurality of users belonging to the group,

monitor progress of the plurality of users in a predetermined event, and update each parameter value associated with each of the plurality of users in accordance with the progress of each of the plurality of users in the predetermined event, and

provide at least one of the first items to the user in the predetermined event, based on a parameter value for the user.

3. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the circuitry is configured to

determine a time at which a predetermined event is to occur,

cause the predetermined event to occur at the time, and

finalize the predetermined event after a time lapses from an occurrence of the predetermined event.

4. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the circuitry is configured to store, in the memory, a plurality of first items stored in association with the plurality of users, and is configured to store allocation information indicating which first item has been provided to which user.

The system according to claim 1 , wherein the circuitry is configured to store, in the memory, a second plurality of users, wherein the circuitry is configured to group the plurality of users based on the plurality of users falling within a first skill level range and is configured to group the second plurality of users based on the second plurality of users falling within a second skill level range,

wherein the set of first items is associated with the plurality of users and a set of second items is associated with the second plurality of users.

6. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the circuitry is configured to cause a predetermined event to occur, the first items included in the predetermined event; and

wherein the circuitry is connected to a plurality of mobile terminals associated with the plurality of users and is configured to cause at least one mobile terminal of the plurality of mobile terminals associated with the plurality of users to display a game piece appearance image in which the plurality of game pieces appear, following occurrence of the predetermined event.

7. A system for controlling a game of a user, the system comprising:

a memory configured to store a group to which a plurality of users belong, a set of first items, and a reward in association with the set of the first items; and

circuitry configured to

store, in the memory, a first item associated with a user belonging to the group, the memory having a predetermined limit on a number of first items that the user, of the plurality of users belonging to the group, can be associated with,

store, in the memory, a plurality of parameter values for the plurality of users belonging to the group,

track progress for each user in the plurality of users in a predetermined event, and, based on the progress of at least one user in the plurality of users in the predetermined event, increment at least one parameter value in the plurality of parameter values that is associated with the at least one user,

determine whether to provide at least one first item to the at least one user based on the at least one parameter value that is associated with the at least one user, and providing the at least one first item to the at least one user and storing the at least one first item in the memory in association with the at least one user,

determine whether first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items stored in the memory, and

extract the reward in association with the set of the first items from the memory to store the extracted reward in association with the user belonging to the group and/or the group, after detecting that the first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items.

8. The system according to claim 7 , wherein the circuitry is configured to

determine a time at which the predetermined event is to occur,

cause the predetermined event to occur at the time, and

finalize the predetermined event after a time lapses from an occurrence of the predetermined event.

9. The system according to claim 7 , wherein the circuitry is configured to store, in the memory, a plurality of first items stored in association with the plurality of users, and is configured to store allocation information indicating which first item has been provided to which user.

The system according to claim 7 , wherein the circuitry is configured to store, in the memory, a second plurality of users, wherein the circuitry is configured to group the plurality of users based on the plurality of users falling within a first skill level range and is configured to group the second plurality of users based on the second plurality of users falling within a second skill level range,

wherein the set of first items is associated with the plurality of users and a set of second items is associated with the second plurality of users.

The system according to claim 7 , wherein the circuitry is connected to a plurality of mobile terminals associated with the plurality of users and wherein the circuitry is configured to cause at least one mobile terminal of the plurality of mobile terminals associated with the plurality of users to display a game piece appearance image in which the plurality of game pieces appear, following occurrence of the predetermined event.

12. A system for controlling a game of a user, the system comprising:

a memory configured to store a group to which a plurality of users belong, a set of first items, and a reward in association with the set of the first items; and

circuitry configured to

store, in the memory, a first item associated with a user belonging to the group, the memory having a predetermined limit on a number of first items that the user, of the plurality of users belonging to the group, can be associated with,

determine a time at which an event is to occur, and cause the event to occur at the time,

during the event, determine whether first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items stored in the memory,

extract the reward in association with the set of the first items from the memory to store the extracted reward in association with the user belonging to the group and/or the group, after detecting that the first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items, and

upon expiration of a predetermined time from a start of the event, finalize the event.

13. The system according to claim 12 , wherein the circuitry is configured to store, in the memory, a plurality of first items stored in association with the plurality of users, and is configured to store allocation information indicating which first item has been provided to which user.

The system according to claim 12 , wherein the circuitry is connected to a plurality of mobile terminals associated with the plurality of users and wherein the circuitry is configured to cause at least one mobile terminal of the plurality of mobile terminals associated with the plurality of users to display a game piece appearance image in which the plurality of game pieces appear, following occurrence of the event.

15. A system for controlling a game of a user, the system comprising:

a memory configured to store a group to which a plurality of users belong, a set of first items, and a reward in association with the set of the first items; and

circuitry configured to

store, in the memory, a plurality of first items, each first item in the plurality of first items associated with a user belonging to the group, the memory having a predetermined limit on a number of first items that the user, of the plurality of users belonging to the group, can be associated with, the memory further storing configuration information indicating which of the plurality of first items has been associated with which user belonging to the group,

determine whether first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items stored in the memory, and

extract the reward in association with the set of the first items from the memory to store the extracted reward in association with the user belonging to the group and/or the group, after detecting that the first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items.

16. The system according to claim 15 , wherein the circuitry is configured to cause a predetermined event to occur, the first items included in the predetermined event; and

wherein the circuitry is connected to a plurality of mobile terminals associated with the plurality of users and wherein the circuitry is configured to cause each mobile terminal of each of the plurality of users to display a game piece appearance image in which the plurality of game pieces appear, following occurrence of the predetermined event.

17. A method for controlling a game of a user, the method comprising:

storing, in a memory, a group to which a plurality of users belong, a set of first items comprising a predetermined number of first items, and a reward in association with the set of first items;

storing, in the memory, a first item associated with a user belonging to the group, the memory having a predetermined limit on a number of first items that the user belonging to the group can be associated with;

determining whether first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items stored in the memory; and

extracting the reward in association with the set of the first items from the memory to store the extracted reward in association with the user belonging to the group and/or the group, after detecting that the first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items,

wherein the predetermined limit on the number of first items that the user can be associated with is smaller than the predetermined number of first items that is required to store the extracted reward in association with the user belonging to the group and/or the group.

18. A method for providing a game to a user, the method comprising:

storing, in a memory, a group to which a plurality of users belong, a set of first items, and a reward in association with the set of the first items;

storing, in the memory, a first item associated with a user belonging to the group, the memory having a predetermined limit on a number of first items that the user, of the plurality of users belonging to the group, can be associated with;

storing, in the memory, a plurality of parameter values for the plurality of users belonging to the group;

tracking progress for each user in the plurality of users in a predetermined event, and, based on the progress of at least one user in the plurality of users in the predetermined event, increment at least one parameter value in the plurality of parameter values that is associated with the at least one user;

determining whether to provide at least one first item to the at least one user based on the at least one parameter value that is associated with the at least one user, and providing the at least one first item to the at least one user and storing the at least one first item in the memory in association with the at least one user;

determining whether first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items stored in the memory; and

extracting the reward in association with the set of the first items from the memory to store the extracted reward in association with the user belonging to the group and/or the group, after detecting that the first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items.

19. A method for providing a game to a user, the method comprising:

storing, in a memory, a group to which a plurality of users belong, a set of first items, and a reward in association with the set of the first items;

storing, in the memory, a first item associated with a user belonging to the group, the memory having a predetermined limit on a number of first items that the user, of the plurality of users belonging to the group, can be associated with;

determining a time at which an event is to occur, and cause the event to occur at the time,

during the event, determining whether first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items stored in the memory;

extracting the reward in association with the set of the first items from the memory to store the extracted reward in association with the user belonging to the group and/or the group, after detecting that the first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items; and

upon expiration of a predetermined time from a start of the event, finalizing the event.

20. A method for providing a game to a user, the method comprising:

storing, in a memory, a group to which a plurality of users belong, a set of first items, and a reward in association with the set of the first items;

storing, in the memory, a plurality of first items, each first item in the plurality of first items associated with a user belonging to the group, the memory having a predetermined limit on a number of first items that the user, of the plurality of users belonging to the group, can be associated with, the memory further storing configuration information indicating which of the plurality of first items has been associated with which user belonging to the group;

determining whether first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items stored in the memory; and

extracting the reward in association with the set of the first items from the memory to store the extracted reward in association with the user belonging to the group and/or the group, after detecting that the first items associated with the plurality of users belonging to the group include the set of the first items.
