Abstract

A computer-implemented method, computer program product and computing system for: interfacing with a plurality of bedside monitoring devices to receive data signals, wherein the data signals have monitoring criteria; and enabling adjustment of one or more of the monitoring criteria.

Claims (55)

1 . A computer-implemented method, executed on a computing device, comprising:

interfacing with a plurality of bedside monitoring devices to receive data signals, wherein the data signals have monitoring criteria; and

enabling adjustment of one or more of the monitoring criteria.

2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein enabling the adjustment of one or more of these monitoring criteria includes:

enabling the remote adjustment of the one or more monitoring criteria on a single bedside monitoring device.

3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein enabling the adjustment of one or more of these monitoring criteria includes:

enabling the remote adjustment of the one or more monitoring criteria on a plurality of bedside monitoring devices.

4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein enabling the adjustment of one or more of these monitoring criteria includes:

enabling the remote adjustment of the one or more monitoring criteria on a plurality of bedside monitoring devices based upon device vendor and/or device type.

5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the one or more of monitoring criteria includes one or more thresholds.

6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the plurality of bedside monitoring devices span a plurality of vendors.

7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the data signals concern one or more details of the plurality of bedside monitoring devices and/or uses of the plurality of bedside monitoring devices.

8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the monitoring criteria includes user-defined monitoring criteria.

9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the monitoring criteria includes machine-defined monitoring criteria.

10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 9 wherein the machine-defined monitoring criteria is defined via massive data sets processed by ML.

11 . The computer-implemented method of claim 9 wherein the machine-defined monitoring criteria is compartmentalized (e.g., gender, race, age, location, device type, device class, seasonality, time of day, etc.).

12 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 further comprising:

monitoring the device to receive subsequent data signals indicative of the device;

comparing the subsequent data signals to the defined signal norms to identify outliers;

investigating the outliers to determine if an issue exists with the device; and

adjusting outlier definition criteria to eliminate the outlier if an issue does not exist.

13 . The computer-implemented method of claim 12 wherein adjusting the outlier definition criteria includes:

defining bespoke outlier definition criteria for the device.

14 . A computer program product residing on a computer readable medium having a plurality of instructions stored thereon which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:

interfacing with a plurality of bedside monitoring devices to receive data signals, wherein the data signals have monitoring criteria; and

enabling adjustment of one or more of the monitoring criteria.

15 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein enabling the adjustment of one or more of these monitoring criteria includes:

enabling the remote adjustment of the one or more monitoring criteria on a single bedside monitoring device.

16 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein enabling the adjustment of one or more of these monitoring criteria includes:

enabling the remote adjustment of the one or more monitoring criteria on a plurality of bedside monitoring devices.

17 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein enabling the adjustment of one or more of these monitoring criteria includes:

enabling the remote adjustment of the one or more monitoring criteria on a plurality of bedside monitoring devices based upon device vendor and/or device type.

18 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the one or more of monitoring criteria includes one or more thresholds.

19 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the plurality of bedside monitoring devices span a plurality of vendors.

20 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the data signals concern one or more details of the plurality of bedside monitoring devices and/or uses of the plurality of bedside monitoring devices.

21 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the monitoring criteria includes user-defined monitoring criteria.

22 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the monitoring criteria includes machine-defined monitoring criteria.

23 . The computer program product of claim 22 wherein the machine-defined monitoring criteria is defined via massive data sets processed by ML.

24 . The computer program product of claim 22 wherein the machine-defined monitoring criteria is compartmentalized (e.g., gender, race, age, location, device type, device class, seasonality, time of day, etc.).

25 . The computer program product of claim 14 further comprising:

monitoring the device to receive subsequent data signals indicative of the device;

comparing the subsequent data signals to the defined signal norms to identify outliers;

investigating the outliers to determine if an issue exists with the device; and

adjusting outlier definition criteria to eliminate the outlier if an issue does not exist.

26 . The computer program product of claim 25 wherein adjusting the outlier definition criteria includes:

defining bespoke outlier definition criteria for the device.

27 . A computing system including a processor and memory configured to perform operations comprising:

interfacing with a plurality of bedside monitoring devices to receive data signals, wherein the data signals have monitoring criteria; and

enabling adjustment of one or more of the monitoring criteria.

28 . The computing system of claim 27 wherein enabling the adjustment of one or more of these monitoring criteria includes:

enabling the remote adjustment of the one or more monitoring criteria on a single bedside monitoring device.

29 . The computing system of claim 27 wherein enabling the adjustment of one or more of these monitoring criteria includes:

enabling the remote adjustment of the one or more monitoring criteria on a plurality of bedside monitoring devices.

30 . The computing system of claim 27 wherein enabling the adjustment of one or more of these monitoring criteria includes:

enabling the remote adjustment of the one or more monitoring criteria on a plurality of bedside monitoring devices based upon device vendor and/or device type.
