Information Management System and Method
A computer-implemented method, computer program product and computing system for: interfacing with a bedside monitoring device to receive data signals; automatically obtaining patient information from a medical record associated with a patient assigned to the bedside monitoring device; and providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device.
1 . A computer-implemented method, executed on a computing device, comprising:
interfacing with a bedside monitoring device to receive data signals;
automatically obtaining patient information from a medical record associated with a patient assigned to the bedside monitoring device; and
providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device.
2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the patient information includes one or more of: a patient name, a patient demographic, a medical history, a medication history, caregiver assignment history and patient assignment history.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the medical record includes one or more of an EMR and an EHR.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the data signals concern one or more details of the bedside monitoring device and/or uses of the bedside monitoring device.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the bedside monitoring device include one or more bedside monitoring sub devices.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 further comprising:
adjusting one or more monitoring criteria defined within the bedside monitoring device based, at least in part, upon the patient information.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 6 wherein the monitoring criteria include one or more signal thresholds.
8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device includes:
automatically providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device.
9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device includes:
providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device via a third-party intermediary.
10 . A computer program product residing on a computer readable medium having a plurality of instructions stored thereon which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
interfacing with a bedside monitoring device to receive data signals;
automatically obtaining patient information from a medical record associated with a patient assigned to the bedside monitoring device; and
providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device.
11 . The computer program product of claim 10 wherein the patient information includes one or more of: a patient name, a patient demographic, a medical history, a medication history, caregiver assignment history and patient assignment history.
12 . The computer program product of claim 10 wherein the medical record includes one or more of an EMR and an EHR.
13 . The computer program product of claim 10 wherein the data signals concern one or more details of the bedside monitoring device and/or uses of the bedside monitoring device.
14 . The computer program product of claim 10 wherein the bedside monitoring device include one or more bedside monitoring sub devices.
15 . The computer program product of claim 10 further comprising:
adjusting one or more monitoring criteria defined within the bedside monitoring device based, at least in part, upon the patient information.
16 . The computer program product of claim 15 wherein the monitoring criteria include one or more signal thresholds.
17 . The computer program product of claim 10 wherein providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device includes:
automatically providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device
18 . The computer program product of claim 10 wherein providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device includes:
providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device via a third-party intermediary.
19 . A computing system including a processor and memory configured to perform operations comprising:
interfacing with a bedside monitoring device to receive data signals;
automatically obtaining patient information from a medical record associated with a patient assigned to the bedside monitoring device; and
providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device.
20 . The computing system of claim 19 wherein the patient information includes one or more of: a patient name, a patient demographic, a medical history, a medication history, caregiver assignment history and patient assignment history.
21 . The computing system of claim 19 wherein the medical record includes one or more of an EMR and an EHR.
22 . The computing system of claim 19 wherein the data signals concern one or more details of the bedside monitoring device and/or uses of the bedside monitoring device.
23 . The computing system of claim 19 wherein the bedside monitoring device include one or more bedside monitoring sub devices.
24 . The computing system of claim 19 further comprising:
adjusting one or more monitoring criteria defined within the bedside monitoring device based, at least in part, upon the patient information.
25 . The computing system of claim 24 wherein the monitoring criteria include one or more signal thresholds.
26 . The computing system of claim 19 wherein providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device includes:
automatically providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device
27 . The computing system of claim 19 wherein providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device includes:
providing the patient information to the bedside monitoring device via a third-party intermediary.
