Electronic apparatus providing recommended content list and controlling method thereof
An electronic apparatus including: a communication interface, a display, a memory to store at least one instruction and a processor to execute the at least one instruction to control the electronic apparatus. The processor may acquire information associated with a plurality of recommended contents based on a user viewing history by executing the at least one instruction, acquire information associated with a related content related to a target content, through the communication interface, the information associated with the related content being acquired based on the information associated with the plurality of recommended contents to allow the related content to be provided among the plurality of recommended contents, and control the display to output a user interface (UI) including a first UI element corresponding to the target content and a second UI element corresponding to the related content.
1 . An electronic apparatus comprising:
a communication interface;
a display;
a memory to store at least one instruction; and
a processor configured to execute the at least one instruction to:
acquire information associated with a plurality of recommended contents, through the communication interface, based on a user viewing history,
acquire information associated with a target content, through the communication interface, based on the information associated with the plurality of recommended contents, the target content being acquired with additional content that is obtained based on a relationship of the additional content to the target content,
identify an arrangement in which the plurality of recommended contents are to be output on the display, and
control the display to output a user interface (UI) subsequent to the arrangement in which the plurality of recommended contents are to be output being identified such that the UI outputs a first UI element corresponding to the target content within the arrangement of the plurality of recommended contents,
identify whether a predetermined condition to control the display to output a second UI element relative to the first UI element is satisfied, and
based on the predetermined condition being identified as satisfied, identify a position adjacent to the target content that is output through the first UI element and add the second UI element corresponding to the additional content, to the arrangement in which the first UI is included, at the position adjacent to the first UI element,
wherein the predetermined condition is based on at least one of a history in which the target content is identified as the target content, a history in which the UI including the second UI element corresponding to the additional content is provided to a user or whether a current date belongs to a predetermined period.
2 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to control the display to display the second UI element in a region adjacent to the first UI element.
3 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to:
control the display to output a plurality of UI elements including the first UI element, and
control the display to display the second UI element between one of the plurality of UI elements and the first UI element.
4 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to control the display to display a screen to output the additional content where the screen is output based on a user input selecting the second UI element.
5 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to control the display to output a list of related contents based on a user input selecting the second UI element.
6 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to acquire information associated with the target content based on metadata of the plurality of recommended contents.
7 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to acquire information associated with the target content based on information associated with a history in which the second UI element is selected.
8 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein information associated with the plurality of recommended contents includes information associated with a position where a list of the plurality of recommended contents is output on the display.
9 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to acquire information associated with the target content based on information associated with a position where a list of the plurality of recommended contents is output on the display.
10 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the additional content is metadata of the target content.
11 . A method of controlling an electronic apparatus, comprising:
acquiring information associated with a plurality of recommended contents based on a user viewing history;
acquiring information associated with a target content based on the information associated with the plurality of recommended contents, the target content being acquired with additional content that is obtained based on a relationship of the additional content to the target content;
identifying an arrangement in which the plurality of recommended contents are to be output; and
displaying a user interface (UI) subsequent to the arrangement in which the plurality of recommended contents are to be output being identified such that the UI outputs a first UI element corresponding to the target content is included within the arrangement of the plurality of recommended contents,
identifying whether a predetermined condition to control the display to output a second UI element relative to the first UI element is satisfied, and
based on the predetermined condition being identified as satisfied, identifying a position adjacent to the target content that is output through the first UI element and adding the second UI element corresponding to the additional content, to the arrangement in which the first UI is included, at the position adjacent to the first UI element,
wherein the predetermined condition is based on at least one of a history in which the target content is identified as the target content, a history in which the UI including the second UI element corresponding to the additional content is provided to a user or whether a current date belongs to a predetermined period.
12 . The method as claimed in claim 11 , wherein in the displaying of the UI, the second UI element is displayed in a region adjacent to that of the first UI element.
13 . The method as claimed in claim 11 , wherein in the displaying of the UI,
a plurality of UI elements including the first UI element are displayed, and
the second UI element is displayed between one of the plurality of UI elements and the first UI element.
14 . The method as claimed in claim 11 , further comprising displaying a screen to output the additional content, where the screen is output based on a user input selecting the second UI element is acquired.
15 . The method as claimed in claim 11 , further comprising displaying a list of related contents based on a user input in case that the user input for selecting the second UI element is acquired.
16 . The method as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the acquiring information associated with the additional content comprises:
acquiring information associated with the target content based on metadata of the plurality of recommended contents.
17 . The method as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the acquiring information associated with the additional content comprises:
acquiring information associated with the target content based on information associated with a history in which the second UI element is selected.
18 . The method as claimed in claim 11 , wherein information associated with the plurality of recommended contents includes information associated with a position where a list of the plurality of recommended contents is output on a display.
19 . The method as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the acquiring information associated with the additional content comprises:
acquiring information associated with the target content based on information associated with a position where a list of the plurality of recommended contents is output on a display.
20 . A non-transitory computer readable medium for storing computer readable program code or instructions which are executable to perform a method for controlling an electronic apparatus, the method comprising:
acquiring information associated with a plurality of recommended contents based on a user viewing history;
acquiring information associated with a target content based on the information associated with the plurality of recommended contents, the target content being acquired with additional content that is obtained based on a relationship of the additional content to the target content;
identifying an arrangement in which the plurality of recommended contents are to be output; and
displaying a user interface (UI) subsequent to the arrangement in which the plurality of recommended contents are to be output being identified such that the UI outputs a first UI element corresponding to the target content is included within the arrangement of the plurality of recommended contents,
identify whether a predetermined condition to control the display to output a second UI element relative to the first UI element is satisfied,
based on the predetermined condition being identified as satisfied, identifying a position adjacent to the target content that is output through the first UI element and adding the second UI element corresponding to the additional content, to the arrangement in which the first UI is included, at the position adjacent to the first UI element,
wherein the predetermined condition is based on at least one of a history in which the target content is identified as the target content, a history in which the UI including the second UI element corresponding to the additional content is provided to a user or whether a current date belongs to a predetermined period.
