Abstract

A fuel cell vehicle includes a protected component and a hydrogen tank unit. The protected component includes one or more of a battery, a fuel cell, and a hydrogen supply component. The hydrogen tank unit includes hydrogen tanks configured to store hydrogen gas used for power generation of the fuel cell, and a coupler coupling the hydrogen tanks to one another. The hydrogen tank unit is disposed so as to cover at least a vertically lower side of the protected component.

Claims (15)

1 . A fuel cell vehicle comprising:

a protected component comprising one or more of a battery, a fuel cell, and a hydrogen supply component; and

a hydrogen tank unit comprising hydrogen tanks configured to store hydrogen gas used for power generation of the fuel cell, and a coupler coupling the hydrogen tanks to one another, the hydrogen tank unit being disposed so as to cover at least a vertically lower side of the protected component,

wherein the hydrogen tank unit further comprises a hydrogen tank case accommodating the hydrogen tanks, the hydrogen tank case having a cross-section with at least one recess, and the protected component is disposed in the recess, and

wherein the hydrogen tank case has a plurality of recesses in an upper portion thereof, and a plurality of batteries are respectively disposed in the plurality of recesses.

2 . The fuel cell vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein the hydrogen tank unit covers at least a portion of a side of the protected component.

3 . The fuel cell vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein

the hydrogen tanks are cylindrical, and

the hydrogen tank unit is formed by coupling ports of the cylindrical hydrogen tanks to one another with the coupler.

4 . The fuel cell vehicle according to claim 2 , wherein

the hydrogen tanks are cylindrical, and

the hydrogen tank unit is formed by coupling ports of the cylindrical hydrogen tanks to one another with the coupler.

5 . The fuel cell vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein the hydrogen tank unit is fixed to a pair of left and right side frames of a vehicle body via flanges of the hydrogen tank unit, and the protected component is disposed between the pair of side frames.

6 . The fuel cell vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein the hydrogen tanks are stacked in a height direction of the fuel cell vehicle with at least a portion inside the hydrogen tank unit, such that the hydrogen tank unit covers a vertically lower side and a lateral side of the protected component.

7 . The fuel cell vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein the hydrogen tank case is disposed below the protected component and fixed to a pair of left and right side frames of a vehicle body via flanges at opposite ends of the hydrogen tank case.
