Abstract

A wireless device receives a SIB1 message indicating a first number of PDCCH monitoring occasions, for receiving a paging early indication (PEI), of a PEI occasion associated with a paging occasion, a second number of PDCCH MOs, for receiving a paging message, of the paging occasion, and a third number of SSBs. The wireless device skips monitoring, a first PDCCH for receiving the PEI, over the first number of PDCCH MOs, in response to each of the first number of PDCCH MOs, of the PEI occasion, overlapping with at least one resource element (RE) of a SSB of the third number of SSBs. The wireless device, in response to skipping monitoring the first PDCCH, monitors, over the second number of PDCCH MOs, a second PDCCH for a DCI scheduling the paging message.

Claims (80)

1 . A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages comprising:

first configuration parameters, of a paging early indication (PEI), indicating a first control resource set (coreset) for receiving the PEI;

second configuration parameters, of a paging occasion, indicating a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring occasion for receiving a paging message; and

third configuration parameters of a multicast and broadcast service (MBS);

based on monitoring a first PDCCH for the MBS:

skipping monitoring the PEI; and

monitoring the paging message in the paging occasion; and

receiving, based on receiving a downlink control information (DCI), the paging message based on the second configuration parameters.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining a monitoring occasion for the MBS overlapping with a second monitoring occasion of the PEI, wherein the wireless device monitors the first PDCCH for the MBS based on determining the monitoring occasion for the MBS overlapping with the second monitoring occasion of the PEI.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first configuration parameters comprise at least one of:

one or more first SSBs associated with the first coreset;

one or more first search spaces;

a first DCI format;

a first radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) dedicated for receiving the PEI; and

a time offset between the PEI and a paging occasion (PO).

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second configuration parameters comprise at least one of:

a paging cycle value;

a parameter indicating total number of paging frames (PFs) and paging frame offset in a paging DRX cycle;

a number for POs per PF; and

a first PDCCH monitoring occasion indication parameter indicating the PDCCH monitoring occasion for paging of each PO of a PF.

a second RNTI for receiving the MBS;

a downlink bandwidth part (BWP) indication for receiving the MBS; and

a second coreset for receiving the MBS.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the PEI comprises a bit indicating whether the wireless device monitors a second PDCCH for receiving the DCI scheduling the paging message.

7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining that the monitoring occasion of the PEI overlaps with the monitoring the PDCCH for the MBS on at least one OFDM symbol, wherein the monitoring occasion of the PEI is based on the first configuration parameters, and wherein the monitoring the PDCCH for the MBS is based on the third configuration parameters.

8 . A wireless device comprising one or more processors and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages comprising:

first configuration parameters, of a paging early indication (PEI), indicating a first control resource set (coreset) for receiving the PEI;

second configuration parameters, of a paging occasion, indicating a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring occasion for receiving a paging message; and

third configuration parameters of a multicast and broadcast service (MBS);

based on monitoring a first PDCCH for the MBS:

skip monitoring the PEI; and

monitor the paging message in the paging occasion; and

receive, based on receiving a downlink control information (DCI), the paging message based on the second configuration parameters.

9 . The wireless device of claim 8 , further comprising determining a monitoring occasion for the MBS overlapping with a second monitoring occasion of the PEI, wherein the wireless device monitors the first PDCCH for the MBS based on determining the monitoring occasion for the MBS overlapping with the second monitoring occasion of the PEI.
