Abstract

The computer networks provided herein may facilitate the delivery of interactive data units to selective client nodes. A client node may be associated with, and/or be accessible by, a user. The interactive data units received at a client node may be activated by the user associated with the client node. In some instances, a computer network may facilitate delivery of an interactive data unit to a client node based on the user, and/or user information, associated with the client node.

Claims (27)

1 . A method for optimizing interactive data units delivery over a network, the method comprising:

a. aggregating, at a server over the network, transaction data from various sources for multiple users, each user associated with a client node and represented by unique user attributes;

b. generating a plurality of interactive data units for a campaign by processing the transaction data with pre-defined parameters, wherein the pre-defined parameters are set by interactive data providers prior to a start of the campaign, and wherein each interactive data unit comprises specific activation requirements;

c. identifying, by the server, one or more appropriate users for at least one interactive data unit from the plurality of interactive data units generated in (b) based on a comparison of the user attributes and the specific activation requirements of the at least one interactive data unit;

d. upon identifying the one or more appropriate users, transmitting the at least one identified interactive data unit to the respective client nodes associated with the one or more appropriate users over the network;

e. monitoring user engagement with the delivered at least one interactive data unit via the respective client nodes and generating engagement metrics; and

f. updating, during the ongoing campaign and while monitoring the user engagement, the pre-defined parameters based at least in part on the engagement metrics, thereby optimizing the delivery of the outstanding interactive data units in the ongoing campaign.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transaction data includes information about user purchases, wherein each user purchase is associated with at least one product.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the unique user attributes comprise user demographic information, previous purchase information, user preference information, or a combination thereof.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein processing the transaction data further comprises mapping the transaction data to a standardized product data, and wherein the standardized product data comprises attributes such as Universal Product Codes (UPCs), Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), product descriptions, product categories, manufacturer details, or a combination thereof.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the pre-defined parameters set by interactive data providers include types of interactive data units, products to be purchased for activation, user attributes that can trigger the delivery of the interactive data units, terms of the reward or incentive resulting from activation of the interactive data units, or a combination thereof.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the interactive data providers comprise entities selected from the group consisting of manufacturers, merchants, retailers, consumer promotion agencies, or a combination thereof.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the specific activation requirements for each interactive data unit include one or more of the following: a user purchase of a specified product, a user engagement with a particular content, a user response to a survey or poll, or a user sharing of the interactive data unit with others.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of interactive data units generated in (b) are tailored to individual consumer users.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of interactive data units generated in (b) are tailored to groups of consumer users.

10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of interactive data units generated in (b) are tailored to individual consumer users or groups of consumer users based on the transaction data in (b), and wherein the transaction data comprise previous purchase history, associated transaction data, or a combination thereof.

11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the process of identifying the one or more appropriate users for the at least one interactive data unit further comprises using an interactive data matching engine to match interactive data units with client nodes based on previous purchases of items by the users associated with the client nodes, and utilizing these matching results to enhance the selection of appropriate users for delivery of the interactive data unit.

12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the one or more appropriate users for the at least one interactive data unit and transmitting the at least one interactive data unit to the respective client nodes associated with the one or more appropriate users further involves targeting the delivery based on individual user activity and item-level transaction data, wherein the at least one interactive data unit is specifically designed to promote heightened user engagement.

13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein transmitting the at least one identified interactive data unit to the respective client nodes over the network includes transmission over email, SMS, mobile computing device applications, or a combination thereof.

14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein transmitting the at least one interactive data unit to the respective client nodes over the network is facilitated by an interactive data delivery engine, the interactive data delivery engine being configured to deliver matched interactive data units to their corresponding client nodes over the network, and wherein each interactive data unit comprises the specific activation requirements as part of its predefined parameters.

15 . The method of claim 1 , wherein monitoring user engagement with the delivered interactive data units includes tracking which interactive data units have been delivered to which client nodes, and which client nodes have accepted and/or activated the interactive data units.

16 . The method of claim 1 , wherein monitoring user engagement with the delivered interactive data units includes monitoring whether the consumer user viewed an interactive data unit in an online product gallery, answered a poll about a product associated with the interactive data unit, requested additional information concerning the interactive data unit or product, shared a particular interactive data unit with another person, or a combination thereof.

17 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the engagement metrics comprises data pertaining to the frequency of user interactions with the delivered interactive data units, the rate of successful activations of these units, the time taken for a user to activate a unit after receiving it, and the overall user satisfaction rates reported for each unit.

18 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the updating the pre-defined parameters comprises comparing the relative effectiveness of various interactive data units delivered to selective client nodes.

19 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising generating statistical reports showing the status of the ongoing campaign, activation rates of interactive data units associated with the ongoing campaign, user purchase patterns relative to specific products, geographic purchase patterns, price trends, consumer-related, retailer-related, purchase-related statistics, or a combination thereof.

20 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said pre-defined parameters are updated further based on a campaign effectiveness and a projected time to completion of the ongoing campaign.

21 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising permitting one or more interactive data providers to modify the one or more predefined parameters via a graphical user interface.
