Methods of treating estrogen sensitive diseases with cannabis extract
View Patent ↗Disclosed herein are methods for treating estrogen sensitive disease, specifically toward endometrial cancers, and compositions used to treat the estrogen sensitive disease. Methods for treating estrogen sensitive diseases comprise administering to a patient an effective amount of a cannabis extract in the presence of an elevated level of estrogen wherein the estrogen is endogenous estrogen or further comprises exogenous estrogen and wherein the methods may further comprise the addition of a chemotherapeutic agent.
1. A composition comprising a cannabis extract and an estrogen; wherein the cannabis extract comprises between 50% and 100% by weight of cannabidiol; and wherein the estrogen is provided as estrone, 17β-estradiol, estriol, estetrol, ethinylestradiol, estradiol valerate, mestranol, estropipate, or combinations thereof.
2. The composition of claim 1 further comprising between 0.025 mg and 25 mg of estrogen.
