Abstract

A system for secure transmission of business event notifications includes a memory, at least one processor, a service gateway configured to: publish application programming interfaces (APIs) for secure transmission of business event notifications, a notification server configured to: publish APIs for secure transmission of business event notifications corresponding to the APIs published by the service gateway, obtain a new business event to report, determine a partner to receive a notification of the new business event, transmit an event notification to the partner by way of the service gateway APIs, and register the event notification in a database.

Claims (67)

1 . A method comprising:

determining that an event to report is stored in a database, wherein the event is a computer server event of an event type including one of a fraud alert, an underwriting event, a risk monitoring event, or a payment refund event;

querying the database for a partner subscribed to the event type;

generating an event report notification of the computer server event, wherein the event report notification includes an event report and data associated with a computer server event;

obtaining a header string and a payload string;

obtaining a partner message authentication code (MAC) key and a MAC key decryption key from the database;

decrypting the partner MAC key using the MAC key decryption key;

signing the event report notification using a JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) Web Tokens (JWT) and the partner MAC key;

formatting an event report notification token using the header string, the payload string, and the signed event report notification; and

transmitting the event report notification token to the partner subscribed to the event type.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving an acknowledgment of the event report from the partner; and

setting a status of the event as completed.

3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

retransmitting the event report to the partner when an acknowledgment is not received from the partner; and

setting a status of the event as failed based on a number of failed transmissions of the event report to the partner exceeding a predetermined threshold.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

publishing application programming interfaces (APIs) for secure transmission of the event report over a computer network, the APIs corresponding to APIs published by a service gateway.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining, after waiting for a predetermined time period, whether one or more events associated with one or more event types are stored in the database; and

based on determining that the one or more events associated with the one or more event types are stored in the database, querying the database for one or more partners associated with the one or more event types.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the event report is transmitted over a computer network by way of an application programming interface (API) published by a service gateway, wherein the API published by the service gateway include features for secure transmission of notifications, and wherein the features for secure transmission of notifications include one or more of message authentication codes (MAC), JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) Web Tokens (JWT), or Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS).

7 . A device comprising:

a memory configured to store instructions; and

one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform operations comprising:

determining that an event to report is stored in a database, wherein the event is a computer server event of an event type including one of a fraud alert, an underwriting event, a risk monitoring event, or a payment refund event;

querying the database for a partner subscribed to the event type;

generating an event report notification of the computer server event, wherein the event report notification includes an event report and data associated with a computer server event;

obtaining a header string and a payload string;

obtaining a partner message authentication code (MAC) key and a MAC key decryption key from the database;

decrypting the partner MAC key using the MAC key decryption key;

signing the event report notification using a JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) Web Tokens (JWT) and the partner MAC key;

formatting an event report notification token using the header string, the payload string, and the signed event report notification; and

transmitting the event report notification token to the partner subscribed to the event type.

8 . The device of claim 7 , wherein the operations further comprise:

receiving an acknowledgment of the event report from the partner; and

setting a status of the event as completed.

9 . The device of claim 7 , wherein the operations further comprise:

retransmitting the event report to the partner when an acknowledgment is not received from the partner; and

setting a status of the event as failed based on a number of failed transmissions of the event report to the partner exceeding a predetermined threshold.

10 . The device of claim 7 , wherein the operations further comprise:

publishing application programming interfaces (APIs) for secure transmission of the event report over a computer network, the APIs corresponding to APIs published by a service gateway.

11 . The device of claim 7 , wherein the operations further comprise:

determining, after waiting for a predetermined time period, whether one or more events associated with one or more event types are stored in the database; and

based on determining that the one or more events associated with the one or more event types are stored in the database, querying the database for one or more partners associated with the one or more event types.

The device of claim 7 , wherein the event report is transmitted over a computer network by way of an application programming interface (API) published by a service gateway, wherein the API published by the service gateway include features for secure transmission of notifications, and wherein the features for secure transmission of notifications include one or more of message authentication codes (MAC), JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) Web Tokens (JWT), or Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS).

13 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a device, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

determining that an event to report is stored in a database, wherein the event is a computer server event of an event type including one of a fraud alert, an underwriting event, a risk monitoring event, or a payment refund event;

querying the database for a partner subscribed to the event type;

generating an event report notification of the computer server event, wherein the event report notification includes an event report and data associated with a computer server event;

obtaining a header string and a payload string;

obtaining a partner message authentication code (MAC) key and a MAC key decryption key from the database;

decrypting the partner MAC key using the MAC key decryption key;

signing the event report notification using a JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) Web Tokens (JWT) and the partner MAC key;

formatting an event report notification token using the header string, the payload string, and the signed event report notification; and

transmitting the event report notification token to the partner subscribed to the event type.

14 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the operations further comprise:

receiving an acknowledgment of the event report from the partner; and

setting a status of the event as completed.

15 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the operations further comprise:

retransmitting the event report to the partner when an acknowledgment is not received from the partner; and

setting a status of the event as failed based on a number of failed transmissions of the event report to the partner exceeding a predetermined threshold.

16 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the operations further comprise:

publishing application programming interfaces (APIs) for secure transmission of the event report over a computer network, the APIs corresponding to APIs published by a service gateway.

17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the operations further comprise:

determining, after waiting for a predetermined time period, whether one or more events associated with one or more event types are stored in the database; and

based on determining that the one or more events associated with the one or more event types are stored in the database, querying the database for one or more partners associated with the one or more event types.
