Abstract

A method, computer program product, and computing system for: monitoring a group of attendees within a space to determine if a common interest exists amongst the group of attendees; and if the common interest exists, directing content concerning the common interest to the space.

Claims (99)

1 . A computer-implemented method executed on a computing device comprising:

monitoring a group of attendees within a space to determine if a common interest exists amongst the group of attendees; and

if the common interest exists, directing content concerning the common interest to the space.

2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein monitoring a group of attendees within a space to determine if a common interest exists amongst the group of attendees includes:

obtaining electronic identification data for one or more of the group of attendees.

3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein monitoring a group of attendees within a space to determine if a common interest exists amongst the group of attendees includes:

associating one or more of the group of attendees with a social media account, thus defining one or more associated media accounts; and

monitoring activity on the one or more associated media accounts.

4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the space is a physical space.

5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 4 wherein the physical space is associated with one or more of:

sporting events;

cultural festivals;

religious pilgrimages;

political events;

social events;

technology conferences; and

pop culture conventions.

6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 4 wherein directing content concerning the common interest to the space includes:

directing content concerning the common interest to content rendering devices within the physical space.

7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the space is a virtual space.

8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 7 wherein directing content concerning the common interest to the space includes:

directing virtual content to a portion of a communications network associated with the virtual space.

9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 wherein the portion of a communications network associated with the virtual space includes one or more of:

one or more social media platforms;

one or more websites;

one or more video-sharing platforms;

one or more virtual reality platforms;

one or more gaming platforms;

one or more messaging platforms;

one or more financial platforms; and

one or more blog platforms.

10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 7 wherein directing content concerning the common interest to the space further includes:

directing virtual content to one or more devices associated with the group of attendees.

11 . A computer program product residing on a computer readable medium having a plurality of instructions stored thereon which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:

monitoring a group of attendees within a space to determine if a common interest exists amongst the group of attendees; and

if the common interest exists, directing content concerning the common interest to the space.

12 . The computer program product of claim 11 wherein monitoring a group of attendees within a space to determine if a common interest exists amongst the group of attendees includes:

obtaining electronic identification data for one or more of the group of attendees.

13 . The computer program product of claim 11 wherein monitoring a group of attendees within a space to determine if a common interest exists amongst the group of attendees includes:

associating one or more of the group of attendees with a social media account, thus defining one or more associated media accounts; and

monitoring activity on the one or more associated media accounts.

14 . The computer program product of claim 11 wherein the space is a physical space.

15 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the physical space is associated with one or more of:

sporting events;

cultural festivals;

religious pilgrimages;

political events;

social events;

technology conferences; and

pop culture conventions.

16 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein directing content concerning the common interest to the space includes:

directing content concerning the common interest to content rendering devices within the physical space.

17 . The computer program product of claim 11 wherein the space is a virtual space.

18 . The computer program product of claim 17 wherein directing content concerning the common interest to the space includes:

directing virtual content to a portion of a communications network associated with the virtual space.

19 . The computer program product of claim 18 wherein the portion of a communications network associated with the virtual space includes one or more of:

one or more social media platforms;

one or more websites;

one or more video-sharing platforms;

one or more virtual reality platforms;

one or more gaming platforms;

one or more messaging platforms;

one or more financial platforms; and

one or more blog platforms.

20 . The computer program product of claim 17 wherein directing content concerning the common interest to the space further includes:

directing virtual content to one or more devices associated with the group of attendees.

21 . A computing system including a processor and memory configured to perform operations comprising:

monitoring a group of attendees within a space to determine if a common interest exists amongst the group of attendees; and

if the common interest exists, directing content concerning the common interest to the space.

22 . The computing system of claim 21 wherein monitoring a group of attendees within a space to determine if a common interest exists amongst the group of attendees includes:

obtaining electronic identification data for one or more of the group of attendees.

23 . The computing system of claim 21 wherein monitoring a group of attendees within a space to determine if a common interest exists amongst the group of attendees includes:

associating one or more of the group of attendees with a social media account, thus defining one or more associated media accounts; and

monitoring activity on the one or more associated media accounts.

24 . The computing system of claim 21 wherein the space is a physical space.

25 . The computing system of claim 24 wherein the physical space is associated with one or more of:

sporting events;

cultural festivals;

religious pilgrimages;

political events;

social events;

technology conferences; and

pop culture conventions.

26 . The computing system of claim 24 wherein directing content concerning the common interest to the space includes:

directing content concerning the common interest to content rendering devices within the physical space.

27 . The computing system of claim 21 wherein the space is a virtual space.

28 . The computing system of claim 27 wherein directing content concerning the common interest to the space includes:

directing virtual content to a portion of a communications network associated with the virtual space.
