Abstract

Systems and methods are provided for sharing a screen from a mobile device. For example, a method includes receiving, at a second mobile device, an image of a screen captured from a first mobile device and determining whether to trigger an automated action. The method may also include displaying, responsive to not triggering the automated action, annotation data generated for the image with the image on a display of the second mobile device, the annotation data including at least one visual cue corresponding to content in the image relevant to a user of the second mobile device. The method may further include, responsive to triggering the automated action, determining that a mobile application associated with the image is installed on the second mobile device and replaying user input actions received with the image on the second mobile device starting from a reference screen associated with the mobile application.

Claims (53)

1. A method implemented by one or more processors, the method comprising:

identifying, at a client device, content that is displayed at the client device via a display of the client device, wherein the content includes at least a body of text;

transmitting, to a server, the content that is displayed at the client device to obtain annotation data for the body of text, wherein transmitting the content to the server causes the server to:

process the content that is displayed at the client device to generate annotation data for the body of text, wherein the annotation data includes at least a first visual cue associated with a first entity that is referenced in the body of text and a second visual cue associated with a second entity that is also referenced in the body of text;

receiving, from the server, the annotation data for the body of text;

causing the body of text to be annotated with the first visual cue associated with the first entity that is referenced in the body of text and the second visual cue associated with the second entity that is also referenced in the body of text;

receiving, from a user of the client device, a selection of the first visual cue associated with the first entity and/or the second visual cue associated with the second entity; and

in response to receiving the selection of the first visual cue and/or the second visual cue:

causing a description of a relationship between the first entity and the second entity to be rendered via the display of the client device.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the annotation data further includes the description of the relationship between the first entity and the second entity.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein causing the description of the relationship between the first entity and the second entity to be rendered via the display of the client device comprises:

causing the description of the relationship between the first entity and the second entity to overlay the content that is displayed at the client device via the display of the client device.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the annotation data further includes at least a third visual cue associated with a third entity that is also referenced in the body of text and a fourth visual cue associated with a fourth entity that is also referenced in the body of text.

5. The method of claim 4 , further comprising:

causing the body of text to be annotated with the third visual cue associated with the third entity that is also referenced in the body of text and the fourth visual cue associated with the fourth entity that is also referenced in the body of text.

6. The method of claim 5 , further comprising:

receiving, from the user of the client device, an additional selection of the third visual cue associated with the third entity and/or the fourth visual cue associated with the fourth entity; and

in response to receiving the selection of the third visual cue and/or the fourth visual cue:

causing an additional description of an additional relationship between the third entity and the fourth entity to be rendered via the display of the client device.

7. The method of claim 1 , in response to receiving the selection of the first visual cue and/or the second visual cue, further comprising:

causing a visual element linking the first entity and the second entity to be rendered via the display of the client device.

8. A system comprising:

at least one processor; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to be operable to:

identify, at a client device, content that is displayed at the client device via a display of the client device, wherein the content includes at least a body of text;

transmit, to a server, the content that is displayed at the client device to obtain annotation data for the body of text, wherein transmitting the content to the server causes the server to:

process, at the server, the content that is displayed at the client device to generate annotation data for the body of text, wherein the annotation data includes at least a first visual cue associated with a first entity that is referenced in the body of text and a second visual cue associated with a second entity that is also referenced in the body of text;

transmit, to the client device, the annotation data for the body of text;

cause the body of text to be annotated with the first visual cue associated with the first entity that is referenced in the body of text and the second visual cue associated with the second entity that is also referenced in the body of text;

receive, from a user of the client device, a selection of the first visual cue associated with the first entity or the second visual cue associated with the second entity; and

in response to receiving the selection of the first visual cue or the second visual cue;

cause a description of a relationship between the first entity and the second entity to be rendered via the display of the client device.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the annotation data further includes the description of the relationship between the first entity and the second entity.

10. The system of claim 8 , wherein, in causing the description of the relationship between the first entity and the second entity to be rendered via the display of the client device, the at least one processor is operable to:

cause the description of the relationship between the first entity and the second entity to overlay the content that is displayed at the client device via the display of the client device.

11. The system of claim 8 , wherein the annotation data further includes at least a third visual cue associated with a third entity that is also referenced in the body of text and a fourth visual cue associated with a fourth entity that is also referenced in the body of text.

12. The system of claim 8 , wherein the at least one processor is further operable to:

cause the body of text to be annotated with the third visual cue associated with the third entity that is also referenced in the body of text and the fourth visual cue associated with the fourth entity that is also referenced in the body of text.

13. The system of claim 12 , wherein the at least one processor is further operable to:

receive, from the user of the client device, an additional selection of the third visual cue associated with the third entity and/or the fourth visual cue associated with the fourth entity; and

in response to receiving the selection of the third visual cue and/or the fourth visual cue:

cause an additional description of an additional relationship between the third entity and the fourth entity to be rendered via the display of the client device.

14. The system of claim 8 , in response to receiving the selection of the first visual cue and/or the second visual cue, the at least one processor is further operable to:

cause a visual element linking the first entity and the second entity to be rendered via the display of the client device.

15. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to be operable to perform operations, the operations comprising:

identifying, at a client device, content that is displayed at the client device via a display of the client device, wherein the content includes at least a body of text;

transmitting, to a server, the content that is displayed at the client device to obtain annotation data for the body of text, wherein transmitting the content to the server causes the server to:

process the content that is displayed at the client device to generate annotation data for the body of text, wherein the annotation data includes at least a first visual cue associated with a first entity that is referenced in the body of text and a second visual cue associated with a second entity that is also referenced in the body of text;

receiving, from the server, the annotation data for the body of text;

causing the body of text to be annotated with the first visual cue associated with the first entity that is referenced in the body of text and the second visual cue associated with the second entity that is also referenced in the body of text;

receiving, from a user of the client device, a selection of the first visual cue associated with the first entity or the second visual cue associated with the second entity; and

in response to receiving the selection of the first visual cue or the second visual cue:

causing a description of a relationship between the first entity and the second entity to be rendered via the display of the client device.
