3. The computer-based method of claim 1 , wherein the account is a first account, the method further comprising:

causing, by any of the one or more computing devices, a decrease of the balance of the first account and an increase of the balance of a second account.

4. The computer-based method of claim 3 , the method further comprising:

10. A computer-based method, the method comprising:

associating in computer memory of one or more computing devices, a financial account of a player with a player account identifier of an online gaming environment, wherein the financial account holds a balance of funds maintained by a computing system;

receiving, by any of the one or more computing devices, a request to transfer a first amount of funds from the financial account maintained by the computing system and associated with the player account identifier of the online gaming environment into an account maintained by a computing system of the online gaming environment, wherein the request to transfer comprises the player account identifier of the player, wherein the player account identifier is associated with the account having a balance maintained by the computing system of the online gaming environment;

determining, by any of the one or more computing devices, whether the requested transfer satisfies a velocity check;

only if the requested transfer satisfies the velocity check, instructing, by any of the one or more computing devices, the computing system to decrease the balance of the financial account and the casino computing system to increase the balance of the account, wherein the balance of the account is usable for wagering.

11. The computer-based method of claim 10 , wherein the account is a first account, the method further comprising:

subsequent to the increase of the balance of the first account, receiving by any of the one or more computing devices, a request to transfer an amount of funds from the first account to a second account;

causing, by any of the one or more computing devices, an increase of the balance of the financial account and a decrease of the balance of the first account; and

causing, by any of the one or more computing devices, a decrease of the balance of the financial account and an increase of the balance of the second account.

12. The computer-based method of claim 10 , wherein the account is a first account, the method further comprising:
