Abstract

A system may include a presentation device and a hub coupled thereto. The hub has a hardware processor which executes first computer instructions facilitating a conditions engine and second computer instructions facilitating a preferences engine. The preferences engine may identify a presentation preference and generate a preference instruction based on the presentation preference. The conditions engine, upon receiving the preference instruction, may identify a presentation condition and output a condition instruction to the presentation device. The system may include the presentation device, upon receiving the condition instruction, being configured in accordance with the presentation condition. The presentation preference may be an abstract preference, a technical preference, or a default preference. The presentation preference may be identified by the preferences engine based on a presentation setting, such as a location. The presentation condition may include at least one of an abstract condition, a technical condition, and a default condition.

generating first condition instructions;

determining with which of the one or more user presentation preferences the one or more presentation device operating systems are compatible;

converting, for those of the one or more user presentation preferences that are not compatible with the one or more presentation device operating systems, first condition instructions into second condition instructions; and

automatically configuring, with the check-in of the given user with the given hotel, the one or more presentation devices based upon at least one of the first condition instructions and the second condition instructions;

wherein the first condition instructions and the second condition instructions identify one or more presentation conditions that correspond to one or more of the user presentation preferences;

monitoring, during presentation of a given content, for an identification of a new user in the given hotel room; and

adjusting the one or more presentation conditions when the new user is identified.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

establishing a link between a content provider and at least one of the one or more presentation devices; and

initiating presentation of a given content on the at least one of the one or more presentation devices using the link and in accordance with at least one of the one or more presentation conditions.

3. The method of claim 1 ,

wherein the one or more presentation conditions includes at least one of an abstract condition, a technical condition and a default condition.

4. The method of claim 3 ,

wherein the one or more presentation conditions vary based on at least one of a time of day, a location of the given room, a content type, a content category, and a content provider.

5. The method of claim 1 ,

wherein the user presentation preferences include at least one of an abstract preference, a technical preference, and a default preference.

6. The method of claim 5 ,

wherein the user presentation preferences correspond to a presentation setting for one or more of the one or more presentation devices when presenting a given content to the given user; and

wherein the user presentation preferences include at least one of a location, a time, a content type, a content category, and a content provider for the presenting of the given content to the given user.

7. A method comprising:

identifying a check-in, by a given user, with a given hotel;

obtaining one or more user presentation preferences for the given user;

determining one or more presentation device operating systems utilized by one or more presentation devices in a given room of the given hotel;

generating first condition instructions;

determining with which of the one or more user presentation preferences the one or more presentation device operating systems are compatible;

converting, for those of the one or more user presentation preferences that are not compatible with the one or more presentation device operating systems, first condition instructions into second condition instructions; and

automatically configuring, with the check-in of the given user with the given hotel, the one or more presentation devices based upon at least one of the first condition instructions and the second condition instructions;

wherein the first condition instructions and the second condition instructions identify one or more presentation conditions that correspond to one or more of the user presentation preferences; and

wherein the automatic configuring of the one or more presentation devices include establishing one or more world-wide-web (“Web”) sockets.

8. The method of claim 7 , further comprising:

monitoring, during presentation of a given content, for a change, by the given user, in the one or more user presentation preferences; and

adjusting the at least one presentation condition when the change in the one or more user presentation preferences is detected.

9. The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

presenting the given content, via at least one of the one or more presentation devices, in accordance with at least one of the one or more presentation conditions;

detecting, during presentation of the given content, a change in the one or more user presentation preferences; and

determining whether the change in the one or more user presentation preferences impacts one or more of the one or more presentation devices; and

adjusting, the one or more presentation devices impacted by the change in the one or more user presentation preferences, the one or more presentation conditions in view of the change in the one or more user presentation preferences.

10. The method of claim 7 , further comprising:

resetting, to a default condition, the one or more presentation devices automatically configured based upon at least one of the first condition instructions and the second condition instructions.

11. The method of claim 10 ,

wherein the resetting of the one or more presentation devices to the default condition occurs upon a detecting of a checking-out of the given user from the given hotel.

12. A system comprising:

a presentation device, in a hotel room of a hotel, executing a presentation device operating system; and

a hub, coupled to the presentation device, further comprising:

a processor;

a storage device, coupled to the processor, non-transiently storing:

a user presentation preference for a given user; and

non-transient computer instructions which, when executed by the processor, instantiate a conditions engine;

wherein the conditions engine instructs the hub to perform conditioning operations comprising:

detecting a checking-in of the given user at the hotel;

determining whether the presentation device operating system is compatible with the user presentation preference; and

when compatible, generating first condition instructions;

when not compatible, converting the first condition instructions into second condition instructions compatible with the presentation device operating system; and

communicating at least one of the first condition instructions and the second condition instructions to the presentation device; and

 wherein the first condition instructions and second condition instructions configure the presentation device in accordance with a presentation condition that is based on the user presentation preference; and

wherein the first condition instructions facilitate presentation of a given content by the presentation device in its current configuration.
