Wireless device transmission timing
Systems, methods, and apparatuses are described for wireless communications. A wireless device may transmit an uplink signal via a cell of a cell group. Transmission timing of the uplink signal may be based on a cell of the cell group and a timing adjustment associated with a different cell group.
1 . A method comprising:
transmitting, by a wireless device, a first uplink signal via at least one cell of a first cell group, wherein transmission timing of the first uplink signal uses a timing advance value associated with the first cell group;
receiving at least one message comprising timing information associated with a second cell group; and
transmitting, based on the at least one message and the timing advance value associated with the first cell group, a second uplink signal via at least one cell of the second cell group.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the timing advance value is based on a timing advance command associated with the first cell group.
3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving configuration parameters of the at least one cell of the first cell group, prior to the receiving the at least one message.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one message comprises a radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein transmission timing of the second uplink signal uses the timing advance value associated with the first cell group.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving a plurality of time alignment timer values, comprising the timing advance value associated with the first cell group.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
transmission timing of the first uplink signal is based on a first cell of the first cell group; and
transmission timing of the second uplink signal is based on a second cell of the second cell group.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the first cell of the first cell group and the second cell of the second cell group are timing reference cells.
9 . A wireless device comprising:
one or more processors; and
memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:
transmit a first uplink signal via at least one cell of a first cell group, wherein transmission timing of the first uplink signal uses a timing advance value associated with the first cell group;
receive at least one message comprising timing information associated with a second cell group; and
transmit, based on the at least one message and the timing advance value associated with the first cell group, a second uplink signal via at least one cell of the second cell group.
10 . The wireless device of claim 9 , wherein the timing advance value is based on a timing advance command associated with the first cell group.
11 . The wireless device of claim 9 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:
receive configuration parameters of the at least one cell of the first cell group, prior to receiving the at least one message.
12 . The wireless device of claim 9 , wherein the at least one message comprises a radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message.
13 . The wireless device of claim 9 , wherein transmission timing of the second uplink signal uses the timing advance value associated with the first cell group.
14 . The wireless device of claim 9 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:
receive a plurality of time alignment timer values, comprising the timing advance value associated with the first cell group.
15 . The wireless device of claim 9 , wherein:
transmission timing of the first uplink signal is based on a first cell of the first cell group; and
transmission timing of the second uplink signal is based on a second cell of the second cell group.
16 . The wireless device of claim 15 , wherein the first cell of the first cell group and the second cell of the second cell group are timing reference cells.
17 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed, configure a wireless device to:
transmit a first uplink signal via at least one cell of a first cell group, wherein transmission timing of the first uplink signal uses a timing advance value associated with the first cell group;
receive at least one message comprising timing information associated with a second cell group; and
transmit, based on the at least one message and the timing advance value associated with the first cell group, a second uplink signal via at least one cell of the second cell group.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the timing advance value is based on a timing advance command associated with the first cell group.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the instructions, when executed, configure the wireless device to:
receive configuration parameters of the at least one cell of the first cell group, prior to receiving the at least one message.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the at least one message comprises a radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message.
21 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein transmission timing of the second uplink signal uses the timing advance value associated with the first cell group.
22 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the instructions, when executed, configure the wireless device to:
receive a plurality of time alignment timer values, comprising the timing advance value associated with the first cell group.
23 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein:
transmission timing of the first uplink signal is based on a first cell of the first cell group; and
transmission timing of the second uplink signal is based on a second cell of the second cell group.
24 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 23 , wherein the first cell of the first cell group and the second cell of the second cell group are timing reference cells.
25 . A system comprising:
a wireless device; and
a base station,
wherein the wireless device is configured to:
transmit a first uplink signal via at least one cell of a first cell group, wherein transmission timing of the first uplink signal uses a timing advance value associated with the first cell group;
receive at least one message comprising timing information associated with a second cell group; and
transmit, based on the at least one message and the timing advance value associated with the first cell group, a second uplink signal via at least one cell of the second cell group, and
wherein the base station is configured to:
transmit the at least one message comprising the timing information.
26 . The system of claim 25 , wherein the timing advance value is based on a timing advance command associated with the first cell group.
27 . The system of claim 25 , wherein the base station is configured to transmit configuration parameters of the at least one cell of the first cell group, prior to transmitting the at least one message.
28 . The system of claim 25 , wherein the at least one message comprises a radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message.
29 . The system of claim 25 , wherein transmission timing of the second uplink signal uses the timing advance value associated with the first cell group.
30 . The system of claim 25 , wherein the wireless device is further configured to:
receive a plurality of time alignment timer values, comprising the timing advance value associated with the first cell group.
31 . The system of claim 25 , wherein:
transmission timing of the first uplink signal is based on a first cell of the first cell group; and
transmission timing of the second uplink signal is based on a second cell of the second cell group.
32 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the first cell of the first cell group and the second cell of the second cell group are timing reference cells.
