Wireless network with awareness of human presence
An apparatus including a wireless component configured for wireless communication in view of a set of wireless parameters and one or more processors configured to determine whether a biological presence is within a proximity based on a set of predetermined criteria and modify the set of wireless parameters in response to the biological presence being detected within the proximity.
1 . An apparatus, comprising:
a wireless component configured for wireless communication in view of a set of wireless parameters;
one or more processors configured to:
determine, using a received wireless radio-frequency (RF) signal, whether a biological presence is within a proximity based on a set of predetermined criteria; and
modify the set of wireless parameters that include an RF parameter in response to the biological presence being detected within the proximity, wherein when modifying the set of wireless parameters, the one or more processors are configured to cause a use of a different communication path for subsequent communication.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the different communication path is facilitated by changing one or more of a communication standard, a frequency band, an amount of airtime, a directivity pattern, or a physical connection.

The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the biological presence is detected within the proximity based on detection of at least one of: an optical change, a light differential, a signal strength change, a temperature, a user activity, a user device communication, a message, a change in an RF energy, or a change in an RF field distribution.
4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are configured to further modify the set of wireless parameters in response to the biological presence no longer being detected.
5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the set of wireless parameters are modified in view of a wireless characteristic.
6 . The apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the wireless characteristic includes an electromagnetic field, wherein the set of wireless parameters are modified to reduce a magnitude of the electromagnetic field.

The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the magnitude of the electromagnetic field is reduced through one or more of: selecting a particular fragmentation size of one or more data packets, selecting a lower transmission power, reducing a re-try count for a number of retransmissions, adjusting one or more directivity patterns, or one or more beamforming operations.
8 . A system, comprising:
a wireless component configured for wireless communication in view of a set of wireless parameters;
one or more processors configured to:
determine, using a received wireless radio-frequency (RF) signal, whether a biological presence is within a proximity based on a set of predetermined criteria; and
modify the set of wireless parameters that include an RF parameter in response to the biological presence being detected within the proximity, wherein when modifying the set of wireless parameters, the one or more processors are configured to cause a use of a different communication path for subsequent communication.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the different communication path is facilitated by changing one or more of a communication standard, a frequency band, an amount of airtime, a directivity pattern, or a physical connection.

The system of claim 8 , wherein the biological presence is detected within the proximity based on detection of at least one of: an optical change, a light differential, a signal strength change, a temperature, a user activity, a user device communication, a message, a change in an RF energy, or a change in an RF field distribution.
11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are configured to further modify the set of wireless parameters in response to the biological presence no longer being detected.
12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the set of wireless parameters are modified in view of a wireless characteristic.
13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the wireless characteristic includes an electromagnetic field, wherein the set of wireless parameters are modified to reduce a magnitude of the electromagnetic field.
14 . A method, comprising:
determining, using a received wireless radio-frequency (RF) signal, whether a biological presence is within a proximity based on a set of predetermined criteria; and
modifying a set of wireless parameters that include an RF parameter in response to the biological presence being detected within the proximity, wherein modifying the set of wireless parameters comprises causing a use of a different communication path for subsequent communication.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the different communication path is facilitated by changing one or more of a communication standard, a frequency band, an amount of airtime, a directivity pattern, or a physical connection.

The method of claim 14 , wherein the biological presence is detected within the proximity based on detection of at least one of: an optical change, a light differential, a signal strength change, a temperature, a user activity, a user device communication, a message, a change in an RF energy, or a change in an RF field distribution.
17 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising:
modifying the set of wireless parameters in response to the biological presence no longer being detected.
18 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the set of wireless parameters are modified in view of a wireless characteristic.
19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the wireless characteristic includes an electromagnetic field, wherein the set of wireless parameters are modified to reduce a magnitude of the electromagnetic field.
20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the magnitude of the electromagnetic field is reduced through one or more of: selecting a particular fragmentation size of one or more data packets, selecting a lower transmission power, reducing a re-try count for a number of retransmissions, adjusting one or more directivity patterns, or one or more beamforming operations.
