Abstract

A light-emitting diode display device is provided. The light-emitting diode display device includes a substrate and a plurality of green units, a plurality of red units, a plurality of blue units, and a plurality of cyan units periodically arranged on the substrate. The quantity of green units is higher than the quantity of red units, the quantity of green units is higher than the quantity of blue units, and the quantity of green units is higher than the quantity of cyan units.

Claims (122)

1 . A light-emitting diode display device, comprising:

a substrate; and

a plurality of green units, a plurality of red units, a plurality of blue units, and a plurality of cyan units periodically arranged on the substrate;

wherein a quantity of the plurality of green units is more than a quantity of the plurality of red units, the quantity of the plurality of green units is more than a quantity of the plurality of blue units, and the quantity of the plurality of green units is more than a quantity of the plurality of cyan units.

The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein in a direction, a minimum pitch P sub_g between adjacent two of the plurality of green units is less than a minimum pitch P sub_r between adjacent two of the plurality of red units, the minimum pitch P sub_g between adjacent two of the plurality of green units is less than a minimum pitch P sub_b between adjacent two of the plurality of blue units, and the minimum pitch P sub_g between adjacent two of the plurality of green units is less than a minimum pitch P sub_c between adjacent two of the plurality of cyan units.

The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the minimum pitch P sub_g between adjacent two of the plurality of green units, the minimum pitch P sub_r between adjacent two of the plurality of red units, the minimum pitch P sub_b between adjacent two of the plurality of blue units, and the minimum pitch P sub_c between adjacent two of the plurality of cyan units satisfy the following relationship:

4 . The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the plurality of green units, the plurality of red units, the plurality of blue units, and the plurality of cyan units that are periodically arranged form a plurality of minimum repeat units.

The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 4 , wherein a quantity G of the plurality of green units, a quantity R of the plurality of red units, a quantity B of the plurality of blue units, and a quantity C of the plurality of cyan units in each of the minimum repeat units satisfy the following relationship:

6 . The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 4 , wherein an aperture ratio of the minimum repeat units is less than 30%.

7 . The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 4 , wherein a quantity ratio of the plurality of red units, the plurality of green units, the plurality of blue units, and the plurality of cyan units in the minimum repeat units is 1:4:1:2.

8 . The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 4 , wherein a quantity ratio of the plurality of red units, the plurality of green units, the plurality of blue units, and the plurality of cyan units in the minimum repeat units is 1:2:1:1.

9 . The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the quantity ratio of the plurality of red units, the plurality of green units, the plurality of blue units, and the plurality of cyan units in the minimum repeat units is 1:3:1:1.

The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 4 , wherein each of the plurality of minimum repeat units comprises a plurality of spatial sub-units, wherein each of the plurality of spatial sub-units comprises at least two of the plurality of green units, the plurality of red units, the plurality of blue unit, and the plurality of cyan units.

11 . The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the plurality of spatial sub-units in each of the plurality of minimum repeat units partially overlap.

12 . The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 10 , wherein at least one of the plurality of spatial sub-units is composed of units of the same color.

13 . The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 4 , further comprising a controller, wherein the controller performs a color processing on an input signal.

The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 13 , wherein the plurality of green units, the plurality of red units, the plurality of blue units, and the plurality of cyan units form a plurality of temporal sub-units, wherein each of the plurality of temporal sub-units comprises at least one green unit, and the controller controls the temporal sub-units to display in turn in a time sequence.

15 . The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 13 , wherein the color processing comprises converting an input signal V(R, G, B) in into an output signal V(R, G, B, C) out by using a transformation matrix M, and the matrix transformation equation is as follows:

wherein the V(R, G, B, C) out is a 4×1 matrix, the M is a 4×3 matrix, and the V(R, G, B) in is a 3×1 matrix.

The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of green units comprises a green LED chip, each of the plurality of red units comprises a red LED chip, each of the plurality of blue units comprises a blue LED chip, and each of the plurality of cyan units comprises a cyan LED chip.

The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of green units, the plurality of red units, the plurality of blue units, and the plurality of cyan units comprises a blue LED chip or an ultraviolet LED chip and comprises a corresponding color conversion layer disposed on the blue LED chip or the ultraviolet LED chip.

The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of spacers, wherein the plurality of spacers are disposed between adjacent two of the plurality of green units, the plurality of red units, the plurality of blue units, and the plurality of cyan units, and the plurality of spacers comprise a reflective wall and an absorbing wall disposed on the reflective wall.

19 . The light-emitting diode display device as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a distributed Bragg reflector, wherein the distributed Bragg reflector is disposed on the plurality of green units, the plurality of red units, the plurality of blue units, and the plurality of cyan units.
