Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for LCH restriction considering LBT for SL. An apparatus includes at least one memory and at least one processor. The at least one processor obtains an SL grant for a new transmission, wherein the SL grant is associated with a destination and is comprised of SL resources for an RB set. In response to determining that a predefined condition was reported for the RB set, the at least one processor considers LCHs that are configured with a first HARQ mode during an LCP procedure performed for the SL grant. In response to determining that the predefined condition was not reported for the RB set, the at least one processor considers LCHs that are configured with a first HARQ mode, a second HARQ mode, or a combination thereof, during an LCP procedure performed for the SL grant.

Claims (53)

1 . A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:

at least one memory; and

at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the UE to:

obtain a sidelink (SL) grant for a new transmission, wherein the SL grant is associated with a destination and is comprised of SL resources for a resource block (RB) set;

in response to determining that a predefined condition was reported for the RB set, consider logical channels (LCHs) that are configured with a first hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) mode during a logical channel prioritization (LCP) procedure performed for the SL grant; and

in response to determining that the predefined condition was not reported for the RB set, consider LCHs that are configured with a first HARQ mode, a second HARQ mode, or a combination thereof, during the LCP procedure performed for the SL grant.

2 . The UE of claim 1 , wherein:

the first HARQ mode is a transmission mode, and wherein HARQ feedback on a physical shared feedback channel (PSFCH) is disabled.

3 . The UE of claim 1 , wherein:

the second HARQ mode is a transmission mode, and wherein HARQ feedback on a physical shared feedback channel (PSFCH) is enabled.

4 . The UE of claim 1 , wherein:

the predefined condition comprises a consistent listen before talk (LBT) failure detected for the RB set.

5 . The UE of claim 4 , wherein:

the at least one processor is configured to cause the UE to prioritize destinations during the LCP procedure for which no consistent LBT failure is detected.

6 . The UE of claim 4 , wherein:

the at least one processor is configured to cause the UE to consider an LBT status of the RB set during the LCP procedure regardless of a cast type.

7 . The UE of claim 4 , wherein:

the at least one processor is configured to cause the UE to cancel SL resources in response to the detected consistent LBT failure.

8 . The UE of claim 4 , wherein:

the at least one processor is configured to cause the UE to deactivate a SL carrier for SL transmission in response to the detected consistent LBT failure.

9 . The UE of claim 1 , wherein:

the at least one processor is configured to cause the UE to deactivate a SL carrier in response to a number of consecutive discontinuous transmissions (DTXs) satisfying a threshold.

10 . A processor for wireless communication, comprising:

at least one controller coupled with at least one memory and configured to cause the processor to:

obtain a sidelink (SL) grant for a new transmission, wherein the SL grant is associated with a destination and is comprised of SL resources for a resource block (RB) set;

in response to determining that a predefined condition was reported for the RB set, consider logical channels (LCHs) that are configured with a first hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) mode during a logical channel prioritization (LCP) procedure performed for the SL grant; and

in response to determining that the predefined condition was not reported for the RB set, consider LCHs that are configured with a first HARQ mode, a second HARQ mode, or a combination thereof, during an LCP procedure performed for the SL grant.

11 . The processor of claim 10 , wherein:

the first HARQ mode is a transmission mode, and wherein HARQ feedback on a physical shared feedback channel (PSFCH) is disabled.

12 . The processor of claim 10 , wherein:

the second HARQ mode is a transmission mode, and wherein HARQ feedback on a physical shared feedback channel (PSFCH) is enabled.

13 . The processor of claim 10 , wherein:

the predefined condition comprises a consistent listen before talk (LBT) failure detected for the RB set.

14 . The processor of claim 13 , wherein:

the at least one controller is configured to cause the processor to prioritize destinations during the LCP procedure for which no consistent LBT failure is detected.

15 . The processor of claim 13 , wherein:

the at least one controller is configured to cause the processor to consider an LBT status of the RB set during the LCP procedure regardless of a cast type.

16 . The processor of claim 13 , wherein:

the at least one controller is configured to cause the processor to cancel SL resources in response to the detected consistent LBT failure.

17 . The processor of claim 13 , wherein:

the at least one controller is configured to cause the processor to deactivate a SL carrier for SL transmission in response to the detected consistent LBT failure.

18 . The processor of claim 10 , wherein:

the at least one controller is configured to cause the processor to deactivate a SL carrier in response to a number of consecutive discontinuous transmissions (DTXs) satisfying a threshold.

19 . A method performed by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:

obtaining a sidelink (SL) grant for a new transmission, wherein the SL grant is associated with a destination and is comprised of SL resources for a resource block (RB) set;

in response to determining that a predefined condition was reported for the RB set, considering logical channels (LCHs) that are configured with a first hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) mode during a logical channel prioritization (LCP) procedure performed for the SL grant; and

in response to determining that the predefined condition was not reported for the RB set, considering LCHs that are configured with a first HARQ mode, a second HARQ mode, or a combination thereof, during an LCP procedure performed for the SL grant.

20 . A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:

at least one memory; and

at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the UE to:

obtain a sidelink (SL) grant for a new transmission;

determine one or more destinations for the SL grant; and

select a destination of the one or more destinations for the transmission on the SL grant that has not reported a consistent listen before talk (LBT) failure.
