Claims (43)

1 . A perforating gun, comprising:

a carrier tube;

a first body from which the carrier tube extends, the first body defining:

a first recess; and

a first internal bore extending through the first body from the first recess;

a first feedthrough extending within the first internal bore;

a second body from which the carrier tube extends, opposite the first body, the second body defining:

a second recess; and

a second internal bore extending through the second body from the second recess;

a second feedthrough extending within the second internal bore; and

a charge cartridge containing one or more perforating charges and extending within the carrier tube, the charge cartridge comprising:

a charge container;

a first cap assembly secured to the charge container, the first cap assembly comprising:

a first end cap via which the first cap assembly is secured to the charge container, the first end cap extending:

at a first end portion of the charge cartridge; and

within the first recess defined in the first body from which the carrier tube extends;

and

a first contact conductor also secured to the charge container, via the first end cap, and axially aligned with the first feedthrough extending within the first internal bore;

and

a second cap assembly secured to the charge container, opposite the first cap assembly, the second cap assembly comprising:

a second end cap via which the second cap assembly is secured to the charge container, the second end cap extending at a second end portion of the charge cartridge, opposite the first end cap; and

a second contact conductor also secured to the charge container, via the second end cap, and axially aligned with:

the first contact conductor associated with the first end cap; and

the second feedthrough extending within the second internal bore;

wherein electricity is communicable:

via the first feedthrough and the first contact conductor to facilitate detonation of the one or more perforating charges contained within the charge cartridge; and

via the second feedthrough and the second contact conductor.

2 . The perforating gun of claim 1 , wherein the charge cartridge contains an addressable switch.

3 . The perforating gun of claim 1 , wherein the charge container comprises a charge tube to which the first and second end caps are coupled; and

wherein:

the first end cap is decouplable from the charge tube; and

the second end cap is decouplable from the charge tube.

4 . The perforating gun of claim 1 , wherein:

the first body is a first sub body;

the perforating gun further comprises a first tandem sub;

the first tandem sub includes the first sub body and the first feedthrough;

the second body is a second sub body;

the perforating gun further comprises a second tandem sub; and

the second tandem sub includes the second sub body and the second feedthrough.

5 . The perforating gun of claim 1 , wherein the charge container comprises a charge tube to which the first and second end caps are coupled; and

wherein the charge tube extends within:

the first recess defined in the first body; and/or

the second recess defined in the second body.
