Abstract

A system and method for determining event discrepancies between disparate systems is described. The system can receive sets of events from multiple systems. The system can normalize the sets of events to convert them into normalized events. From a normalized set of events, the system can concurrently generate a plurality of event arrays. The system can apply one or more rules to the event arrays to generate at least one event array parameter.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more matching event parameters comprise information identifying one or more providers.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein generating the at least one event array parameter comprises identifying patterns of behavior of a particular provider.

4 . The method of claim 1 ,

wherein the plurality of normalized events of the at least one event array comprises time information associated with a particular provider; and

wherein generating the at least one event array parameter based on the plurality of normalized events of the at least one event array comprises identifying patterns of behavior using the time information associated with the particular provider.

5 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the indication of the potential drug diversion event comprises one or more scores associated with the particular provider, wherein the one or more scores are based on the patterns of behavior of the particular provider.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein generating the at least one event array parameter comprises identifying patterns of behavior of a plurality of providers.

7 . The method of claim 1 ,

wherein the plurality of normalized events of the at least one event array comprises drug waste information associated with each of a plurality of providers; and

wherein generating the at least one event array parameter based on the plurality of normalized events of the at least one event array comprises identifying patterns of waste associated with the plurality of providers using the drug waste information associated with each of the plurality of providers.

8 . A system, comprising:

one or more processors configured to:

receive, over a network, a first plurality of events from a first system, wherein the first system generates the first plurality of events in response to user interactions with the first system;

receive, over the network, a second plurality of events from a second system, wherein the second system generates the second plurality of events in response to user interactions with the second system, wherein each event of the first plurality of events and the second plurality of events comprises a plurality of event parameters, wherein a first format of the first plurality of events is different from and not compatible with a second format of the second plurality of events;

normalize the first plurality of events to generate a normalized first plurality of events in a normalized format;

normalize the second plurality of events to generate a normalized second plurality of events in the normalized format;

concurrently generating a plurality of event arrays, at least one event array of the plurality of event arrays comprising a plurality of normalized events that include one or more matching event parameters, the plurality of normalized events including at least a first normalized event corresponding to an event of the normalized first plurality of events and a second normalized event corresponding to an event of the normalized second plurality of events;

generate at least one event array parameter based on the plurality of normalized events of the at least one event array; and

generate an indication of a potential drug diversion event based on the at least one event array parameter.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more matching event parameters comprise information identifying one or more providers.

10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein to generate the at least one event array parameter, the one or more processors are configured to identify patterns of behavior of a particular provider.

11 . The system of claim 8 ,

wherein the plurality of normalized events of the at least one event array comprises time information associated with a particular provider; and

wherein to generate the at least one event array parameter based on the plurality of normalized events of the at least one event array, the one or more processors are configured to identify patterns of behavior using the time information associated with the particular provider.

12 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the indication of the potential drug diversion event comprises one or more scores associated with the particular provider, wherein the one or more scores are based on the patterns of behavior of the particular provider.

13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein to generate the at least one event array parameter, the one or more processors are configured to identify patterns of behavior of a plurality of providers.

14 . The system of claim 8 ,

wherein the plurality of normalized events of the at least one event array comprises drug waste information associated with each of a plurality of providers; and

wherein to generate the at least one event array parameter based on the plurality of normalized events of the at least one event array, the one or more processors are configured to identify patterns of waste associated with the plurality of providers using the drug waste information associated with each of the plurality of providers.

15 . Non-transitory computer-readable media comprising computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:

receive, over a network, a first plurality of events from a first system, wherein the first system generates the first plurality of events in response to user interactions with the first system;

receive, over the network, a second plurality of events from a second system, wherein the second system generates the second plurality of events in response to user interactions with the second system, wherein each event of the first plurality of events and the second plurality of events comprises a plurality of event parameters, wherein a first format of the first plurality of events is different from and not compatible with a second format of the second plurality of events;
