Abstract

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving, over a communication network, a first message utilizing a first messaging application from a first communication device associated with a first user and identifying a recipient of the first message as a second user associated with a second communication device. Further embodiments can include determining that the second user utilizes a second message application to exchange a first group of messages via the second communication device resulting in a first determination, and transmitting, over the communication network, the first message to the second communication device utilizing the second messaging application based on the first determination. Other embodiments are disclosed.

determining a capacity of a second processor of the second communication device, resulting in a sixth determination,

wherein the selecting is further based on the fifth determination and the sixth determination.

3 . The device claim 1 , wherein the selecting is further based on determining that the second user utilizes the second messaging application.

4 . The device of claim 3 , wherein the determining that the second user utilizes the second messaging application comprises determining a number of times the second user exchanged a group of messages utilizing the second messaging application is above a threshold.

5 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the determining the network conditions of the first network comprises:

determining a traffic congestion condition and a latency condition of the first network used for the transmitting of the first message to the second communication device.

6 . The device of claim 5 , wherein the operations further comprise:

identifying a second recipient of the first message as a third user associated with a third communication device;

determining third user preferences of the third user for receiving messages, resulting in a fifth determination, wherein the third user preferences are different from the second user preferences;

selecting a third messaging application based on at least the first determination, the third determination, the fourth determination, and the fifth determination; and

transmitting, based on the selecting of the third messaging application, the first message to the third communication device utilizing the third messaging application.

7 . The device of claim 6 , wherein the operations further comprise:

determining second network conditions of a second network used for the transmitting of the first message to the third communication device, resulting in a sixth determination, wherein the second network is different from the first network

wherein the selecting of the third messaging application is based on the sixth determination.

8 . The device of claim 6 , wherein the third messaging application is different from the second messaging application.

9 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the second messaging application is an Over the Top (OTT) messaging application.

10 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the first messaging application is associated with a social media platform, a text messaging application, a short messaging service (SMS) application, or an email application, and wherein the second messaging application is different from the first messaging application.

11 . A non-transitory, machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processing system including a processor, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:

receiving, over a first network from a first communication device, a first message utilizing a first messaging application from the first communication device associated with a first user, wherein the first message includes time-sensitive information;

determining first user preferences of the first user, resulting in a first determination;

determining second user preferences of a second user for receiving messages, resulting in a second determination;

determining an encryption associated with the first message, resulting in a third determination;

determining a content associated with the first message, resulting in a fourth determination;

determining network conditions of the first network, resulting in a first network condition determination;

selecting a second messaging application based on at least the first determination, the second determination, the third determination, the fourth determination, the first network condition determination and the time-sensitive information, wherein the selecting comprises selecting the second messaging application to not degrade the network conditions of the first network, and wherein the second messaging application is different from the first messaging application; and

transmitting, based on the selecting, the first message to at least a second communication device utilizing the second messaging application to ensure timely reception of the time-sensitive information.

12 . The non-transitory, machine-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the at least a second communication device is associated with the second user.

13 . The non-transitory, machine-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the operations further comprise:

transmitting, based on the selecting, the first message to a third communication device.

14 . The non-transitory, machine-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the third communication device is associated with a third user.

15 . The non-transitory, machine-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the operations further comprise:
