CALL SCREENING SERVICE FOR INBOUND COMMUNICATIONS
One example method of operation may include receiving a call message intended for a call recipient, removing one or more portions of call message data included in the call message, identifying one or more of a trunk group and an entry point associated with the received call message, adding one or more of a trunk group identifier (TGRP) and a universally unique identifier (UUID) to the call message to create a modified call message, and forwarding the modified call message to a destination network associated with the call recipient.
1 . A method comprising:
removing call origin information from a call message;
adding a trunk group identifier (TGRP) to a header of the call message to create a modified call message that identifies origin carrier information; and
forwarding the modified call message to a destination network associated with a call recipient.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the call message comprises a SIP INVITE.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the header is added to the SIP INVITE.
4 . The method of claim 1 , comprising adding a universally unique identifier (UUID) to create the modified call message by adding the UUID to a payload portion of an X-header of the call message.
5 . The method of claim 1 , comprising identifying origin carrier information of the call message intended for the call recipient based on call origin information and a trunk group associated with the call message.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the TGRP identifies a location identifier and an IP address.
7 . The method of claim 1 , comprising determining an origin carrier network based on an operating company number parameter from an external data source based on a telephone number identified by the TGRP in the header of the call message.
8 . An apparatus comprising:
a processor configured to
remove call origin information from a call message;
add a trunk group identifier (TGRP) to a header of the call message to create a modified call message that identifies origin carrier information; and
forward the modified call message to a destination network associated with a call recipient.
9 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the call message comprises a SIP INVITE.
10 . The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the header is added the SIP INVITE.
11 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor is configured to add a universally unique identifier (UUID) to create the modified call message and the UUID is added to a payload portion of an X-header of the call message.
12 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor is configured to identify origin carrier information of the call message intended for the call recipient based on call origin information and a trunk group associated with the call message.
13 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the TGRP identifies a location identifier and an IP address.
14 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor is configured to determine the origin carrier network based on an operating company number parameter from an external data source based on a telephone number identified by the TGRP in the header of the call message.
15 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium configured to store instructions that when executed cause a processor to perform:
removing call origin information from a call message;
adding a trunk group identifier (TGRP) to a header of the call message to create a modified call message that identifies origin carrier information; and
forwarding the modified call message to a destination network associated with a call recipient.
16 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the call message comprises a SIP INVITE.
17 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the header is added to the SIP INVITE.
18 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the processor is configured to perform adding a universally unique identifier (UUID) to create the modified call message by adding the UUID to a payload portion of an X-header of the call message.
19 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the processor is configured to perform identifying origin carrier information of the call message intended for the call recipient based on call origin information and a trunk group associated with the call message.
20 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the TGRP identifies a location identifier and an IP address.
