Abstract

Provided herein are various methods, apparatus, and systems for providing a service enablement layer analytics service in a cellular network, such as at the 3GPP service enabler layer. For example, an apparatus may receive, from an analytics service consumer, a service enablement layer data analytics request, wherein the request includes requirements of the analytics service, determine based on the service enablement layer analytics request, to collect data from a service layer server and/or a service layer client, generate analytics result based on the received server-side data, the received client-side data and the requirements of the analytics service, send, to the analytics service consumer, and perform actions or trigger actions to be performed based on the analytics results.

Claims (38)

1 . An apparatus providing a service enablement layer analytics service in a cellular network:

receiving, from an analytics service consumer, a service enablement layer data analytics request, wherein the request includes requirements of the analytics service;

determining, based on the service enablement layer analytics request, to collect data from a service layer server;

sending, to the determined service layer server, a request to collect server-side service enablement layer data related to the service enablement layer analytics request;

receiving, from the determined service layer server, the server-side service enablement layer data related to the service enablement layer data analytics request;

determining, based on the service enablement layer analytics request, to collect data from a service layer client;

sending, to the determined service layer client, a request to collect client-side service enablement layer data related to the service enablement layer analytics;

receiving, from the determined service layer client, the client-side service enablement layer data related to the service enablement layer data analytics request;

generating analytics result based on the received server-side data, the received client-side data and the requirements of the analytics service; and

sending, to the analytics service consumer, a response indicating the analytics result.

2 . The apparatus recited in claim 1 , wherein the analytics service consumer is an application server or a service enablement layer server.

3 . The apparatus recited in claim 1 , wherein the analytics request further includes one or more of an analytics type, identifier(s) of one or more analytics targets, analytics filter information, area of interest.

4 . The apparatus recited in claim 1 , wherein the analytics request is a subscription request.

5 . The apparatus recited in claim 1 , wherein the apparatus further collects data from another entity capable of providing analytics service.

6 . The apparatus recited in claim 1 , wherein the analytics result includes predictions and the corresponding confidence levels.

7 . The apparatus recited in claim 1 , wherein the analytics request is related to application performance.

8 . The apparatus recited in claim 1 , wherein the analytics request is related to edge data network.

9 . The apparatus recited in claim 1 , wherein the analytics request is related to network slice.

10 . The apparatus recited in claim 1 , wherein the analytics request is related to accesses of services or functions.

11 . A method for providing a service enablement layer analytics service in a cellular network, comprising:
