Abstract

Systems, devices, computer-implemented methods, and tangible non-transitory computer-readable media that facilitate intelligent and dynamic updates to membership of group object(s) based on a change to an attribute value with respect to an entity associated with the group object(s). In an embodiment, a computing system can: create a first group object using an attribute value that can at least partly define membership of group member(s) of the first group object; generate a dependency mapping file that maps the attribute value to second group object(s) created using the attribute value; employ the dependency mapping file to identify the second group object(s) upon detection of a change to the attribute value with respect to an entity associated with the first group object and the second group object(s); and/or update membership of the first group object and the second group object(s) to reflect the change to the attribute value with respect to the entity.

Claims (44)

1 . A computer-implemented method, comprising:

instantiating, by one or more processors, a first group object at runtime, wherein instantiating the first group object comprises querying an object graph using a first query to identify one or more entities associated with a first attribute value;

instantiating, by the one or more processors, a second group object at runtime, wherein instantiating the second group object comprises querying the object graph using a second query to identify one or more entities associated with the first attribute value;

detecting, by the one or more processors, a change to the first attribute value of an entity of the one or more entities that are associated with the first group object; and

in response to detecting the change to the first attribute value of the entity,

identifying, by the one or more processors, the second group object based on a mapped dependency from the first group object to the second group object; and

triggering, by the one or more processors, an operation associated with the second group object based on the detected change to the first attribute value.

2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the first group object and the second group object are instantiated in a temporary memory environment at runtime.

3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the first group object is associated with the first attribute value and a second attribute value.

4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the second group object is associated with the first attribute value and a third attribute value different from the second attribute value.

5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein detecting the change to the first attribute value of the entity comprises detecting creation of a new entity associated with the first attribute value.

6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , the method further comprising:

identifying, by the one or more processors, a third group object based on the detected change to the first attribute value; and

adding, by the one or more processors, the entity to the third group object.

7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the mapped dependency is accessed from a dependency mapping file.

8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein triggering the operation associated with the second group object comprises updating the membership of the second group object based on the detected change to the first attribute.

9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein triggering the operation comprises triggering an operation associated with a third-party software application.

10 . A computing system, comprising:

one or more processors; and

a non-transitory, computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations, the operations comprising:

instantiating a first group object at runtime, wherein instantiating the first group object comprises querying an object graph using a first query to identify one or more entities associated with a first attribute value;

instantiating a second group object at runtime, wherein instantiating the second group object comprises querying the object graph using a second query to identify one or more entities associated with the first attribute value;

detecting a change to the first attribute value of an entity of the one or more entities that are associated with the first group object; and

in response to detecting the change to the first attribute value of the entity,

identifying the second group object based on a mapped dependency from the first group object to the second group object; and

triggering an operation associated with the second group object based on the detected change to the first attribute value.

11 . The computing system of claim 10 , wherein the first group object and the second group object are instantiated in a temporary memory environment at runtime.

12 . The computing system of claim 10 , wherein the first group object is associated with the first attribute value and a second attribute value.

13 . The computing system of claim 12 , wherein the second group object is associated with the first attribute value and a third attribute value different from the second attribute value.

14 . The computing system of claim 10 , wherein detecting the change to the first attribute value of the entity comprises detecting creation of a new entity associated with the first attribute value.

15 . The computing system of claim 10 , the operations further comprising:

identifying third group object based on the detected change to the first attribute value; and

adding the entity to the third group object.

16 . The computing system of claim 10 , wherein the mapped dependency is accessed from a dependency mapping file.

17 . The computing system of claim 10 , wherein triggering the operation associated with the second group object comprises updating the membership of the second group object based on the detected change to the first attribute.

18 . The computing system of claim 10 , wherein triggering the operation comprises triggering an operation associated with a third-party software application.

19 . A non-transitory, computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations, the operations comprising:

instantiating a first group object at runtime, wherein instantiating the first group object comprises querying an object graph using a first query to identify one or more entities associated with a first attribute value;

instantiating a second group object at runtime, wherein instantiating the second group object comprises querying the object graph using a second query to identify one or more entities associated with the first attribute value;

detecting a change to the first attribute value of an entity of the one or more entities that are associated with the first group object; and

in response to detecting the change to the first attribute value of the entity,

identifying the second group object based on a mapped dependency from the first group object to the second group object; and

triggering an operation associated with the second group object based on the detected change to the first attribute value.

20 . The non-transitory, computer-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the first group object and the second group object are instantiated in a temporary memory environment at runtime.
