Abstract

Disclosed is a process for making a fully water-soluble granule comprising humic acid and a microbial community composition. Disclosed also is a fully water-soluble granule comprising humic acid and a microbial community composition. Such a granule is useful as an organic aid to crop growth, particularly in applications where solubility is desirable or necessary.

Claims (14)

1 . (canceled)

2 . A composition comprising:

a hydrolyzed humic acid enriched particles; and

at least one lyophilized dormant bacillus microbial organism.

3 . The composition of claim 2 , wherein the hydrolyzed humic acid enriched particles exhibits a moisture content of about 9 to about 15%.

4 . The composition of claim 2 , wherein the hydrolyzed humic acid enriched particles exhibit a loose bulk density of about 29 to about 49 pounds per cubic foot.

5 . The composition of claim 2 , wherein the hydrolyzed humic acid enriched particles are derived from leonardite.

6 . The composition of claim 2 , wherein the at least one lyophilized dormant bacillus microbial organism may be rehydrated for use.

7 . The composition of claim 6 , wherein the at least one lyophilized dormant bacillus microbial organism is returned to typical metabolic activity upon rehydration.

8 . The composition of claim 2 , wherein the composition has a ratio of about 1:100 to 1:5 dormant bacillus microbial organism to the hydrolyzed humic enriched particles.

9 . The composition of claim 8 , wherein the composition comprises a granule.

10 . A method comprising:

applying the granule of claim 9 to a desired location; and

rehydrating the at least one lyophilized dormant bacillus microbial organism, wherein the at least one lyophilized dormant bacillus microbial organism is returned to typical metabolic activity.
