Abstract

The present invention provides a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) which binds a low density target antigen, which comprises a Fab antigen binding domain. The invention also relates to cells expressing such a CAR and their use in the treatment of disease.

26 . A method for treating amyloidosis in a subject which comprises the step of administering a plurality of cytolytic immune cells to the subject,

wherein the cytolytic immune cells express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) which binds B cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and which comprises a Fab antigen binding domain comprising the VH domain of SEQ ID NO: 29 and the VL domain of SEQ ID NO: 30.

27 . The method according to claim 26 ,

wherein the cytolytic immune cells further express a CAR which binds CD19 and which comprises an scFv comprising the VH domain of SEQ ID NO: 67 and the VL domain of SEQ ID NO: 75.
