Abstract

In some embodiments, an archery bow comprises a riser comprising a first rail and a second rail. An accessory is supported by the riser. The accessory extends through the first rail and contacts the second rail. A fastener contacts the riser and the accessory. The fastener comprises a central axis that does not intersect the accessory.

17 . An archery stabilizer arranged for use with an archery bow that comprises a riser comprising a first rail, a second rail and a fastener, the first rail comprising a first aperture comprising a first cross-sectional shape, the fastener comprising a central axis, the stabilizer comprising:

a mounting bar shaped to be supported by the riser, the mounting bar comprising a second cross-sectional shape different from the first cross-sectional shape, the mounting bar shaped to extend through the first aperture and contact the second rail and the fastener, wherein the central axis does not intersect the mounting bar.

18 . The archery stabilizer of claim 17 , the mounting bar comprising a plurality of detents.

19 . The archery stabilizer of claim 17 , the mounting bar comprising a first side surface and a second side surface parallel to the first side surface.

20 . The archery stabilizer of claim 19 , the mounting bar comprising a plurality of apertures extending from the first side surface to the second side surface.

21 . The archery stabilizer of claim 19 , the mounting bar comprising a top surface oriented orthogonal to the first side surface and a bottom surface oriented parallel to the top surface.

22 . The archery stabilizer of claim 21 , the mounting bar comprising a first angled surface extending between the top surface and the first side surface, the first angled surface oriented at an angle to the top surface, the first angled surface oriented at an angle to the first side surface.

23 . The archery stabilizer of claim 22 , comprising a plurality of detents extending into the first angled surface.

24 . The archery stabilizer of claim 22 , comprising a second angled surface extending between the top surface and the second side surface, the second angled surface orthogonal to the first angled surface.

25 . The archery stabilizer of claim 22 , comprising a third angled surface extending between the bottom surface and the first side surface, the third angled surface oriented orthogonal to the first angled surface.

26 . The archery stabilizer of claim 17 , the second rail comprising a second aperture, wherein the mounting bar is shaped to extend through the second aperture.

27 . The archery stabilizer of claim 17 , comprising a weight supported by the mounting bar.

28 . An archery stabilizer comprising:

a mounting bar shaped to be slidably engaged with a riser of an archery bow, the riser comprising a first rail comprising a first aperture;

the mounting bar shaped to extend through the first aperture and slide with respect to the first rail between a first position and a second position.

29 . The archery stabilizer of claim 28 , comprising a weight supported by the mounting bar.

30 . The archery stabilizer of claim 28 , the mounting bar comprising a first detent and a second detent, the first detent engagable in the first position, the second detent engagable in the second position.

31 . The archery stabilizer of claim 30 , comprising a weight supported by the mounting bar.

32 . The archery stabilizer of claim 31 , the mounting bar comprising an octagonal cross-sectional shape.

33 . The archery stabilizer of claim 32 , the mounting bar comprising a first side surface and a second side surface parallel to the first side surface, a top surface oriented orthogonal to the first side surface and a bottom surface oriented parallel to the top surface, a first angled surface extending between the top surface and the first side surface, the first angled surface oriented at an angle to the top surface, the first angled surface oriented at an angle to the first side surface.

34 . The archery stabilizer of claim 28 , the mounting bar comprising a longitudinal axis, the mounting bar operable to move in the direction of the longitudinal axis between the first position and the second position.

35 . The archery stabilizer of claim 28 , the mounting bar comprising an octagonal cross-sectional shape.

36 . The archery stabilizer of claim 28 , the mounting bar comprising a first side surface and a second side surface parallel to the first side surface, a top surface oriented orthogonal to the first side surface and a bottom surface oriented parallel to the top surface, a first angled surface extending between the top surface and the first side surface, the first angled surface oriented at an angle to the top surface, the first angled surface oriented at an angle to the first side surface.

37 . An archery stabilizer comprising:

a mounting bar comprising a first side surface and a second side surface parallel to the first side surface, a top surface oriented orthogonal to the first side surface and a bottom surface oriented parallel to the top surface, a first angled surface extending between the top surface and the first side surface, the first angled surface oriented at an angle to the top surface, the first angled surface oriented at an angle to the first side surface; and

a weight supported by the mounting bar.

38 . The archery stabilizer of claim 37 , the first angled surface comprising a plurality of detents.
