Abstract

A system and method for providing service information on a social network, that can include: receiving, from a first client device, a social media post including a request for a service, where the request for the service includes a set of objectives, service location information, and an identification of a requesting account requesting a service on the social network; applying grouping criteria to a first set of user accounts to generate a group, where: the group is a subset of the first set of user accounts; providing, to one or more user accounts in the group, the social media post for display by the client devices of the one or more user accounts; and receiving, from a servicing user account in the group, an acceptance of the request for service of the social media post.

Claims (25)

1 . A system for providing service information on a social network, comprising:

a computer processor; and

a social mapping module executing on the computer processor and configured to enable the computer processor to:

receive, from a requesting client device, a social media post comprising a request for a service, the social media post further comprising a hyperlink associated with the service, wherein the request for the service comprises service location information;

rank a set of servicing user accounts according to a geographic distance between a servicing account location of each servicing user account and a location specified by the service location information;

select a subset of the set of servicing user accounts for inclusion in a group based on the ranking;

transmit a notification causing a servicing client device of a servicing user account in the group to display a symbol representing an aggregation of social media posts comprising the social media post, wherein a size of the symbol is based on (i) the ranking of the servicing user account and (ii) a screen attribute of the servicing client device, wherein the screen attribute is at least one selected from a group consisting of: a resolution of a physical display screen, a number of picture elements defining a size of a physical display screen, and an amount of screen space of a physical display screen; receive, from the servicing client device of the servicing user account, an acceptance of the request for the service of the social media post;

receive, from the servicing client device of the servicing user account, activation of the hyperlink associated with the service, wherein activation of the hyperlink is a digital confirmation of acceptance or completion of the service; and

receive, from the servicing client device of the servicing user account, a code obtained by a user of the servicing user account at the location specified by the service location information, wherein receipt of the code remotely verifies, without the need for a witness at the location, that the user of the servicing user account was physically present at the location.

2 . A method for providing service information on a social network, comprising:

receiving, from a requesting client device, a social media post comprising a request for a service, the social media post further comprising a hyperlink associated with the service, wherein the request for the service comprises service location information;

ranking, by a computer processor, a set of servicing user accounts according to a geographic distance between a servicing account location of each servicing user account and a location specified by the service location information;

selecting a subset of the set of servicing user accounts for inclusion in a group based on the ranking;

transmitting a notification causing a servicing client device of a servicing user account in the group to display a symbol representing an aggregation of social media posts comprising the social media post, wherein a size of the symbol is based on (i) the ranking of the servicing user account and (ii) a screen attribute of the servicing client device, wherein the screen attribute is at least one selected from a group consisting of: a resolution of a physical display screen, a number of picture elements defining a size of a physical display screen, and an amount of screen space of a physical display screen;

receiving, from the servicing client device of the servicing user account, an acceptance of the request for the service of the social media post;

receiving, from the servicing client device of the servicing user account, activation of the hyperlink associated with the service, wherein activation of the hyperlink is a digital confirmation of acceptance or completion of the service; and

receiving, from the servicing client device of the servicing user account, a code obtained by a user of the servicing user account at the location specified by the service location information, wherein receipt of the code remotely verifies, without the need for a witness at the location, that the user of the servicing user account was physically present at the location.

3 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising a plurality of instructions for providing service information on a social network, the plurality of instructions configured to execute on at least one computer processor to enable the at least one computer processor to:

receive, from a requesting client device, a social media post comprising a request for a service, the social media post further comprising a hyperlink associated with the service, wherein the request for the service comprises service location information;

rank a set of servicing user accounts according to a geographic distance between a servicing account location of each servicing user account and a location specified by the service location information;

select a subset of the set of servicing user accounts for inclusion in a group based on the ranking;

transmit a notification causing a servicing client device of a servicing user account in the group to display a symbol representing an aggregation of social media posts comprising the social media post, wherein a size of the symbol is based on (i) the ranking of the servicing user account and (ii) a screen attribute of the servicing client device, wherein the screen attribute is at least one selected from a group consisting of: a resolution of a physical display screen, a number of picture elements defining a size of a physical display screen, and an amount of screen space of a physical display screen;

receive, from the servicing client device of the servicing user account, an acceptance of the request for the service of the social media post;

receive, from the servicing client device of the servicing user account, activation of the hyperlink associated with the service, wherein activation of the hyperlink is a digital confirmation of acceptance or completion of the service; and

receive, from the servicing client device of the servicing user account, a code obtained by a user of the servicing user account at the location specified by the service location information, wherein receipt of the code remotely verifies, without the need for a witness at the location, that the user of the servicing user account was physically present at the location.
