Abstract

Embodiments described herein relate to systems and methods for automatically generating content, generating API requests and/or request bodies, structuring user-generated content, and/or generating structured content in collaboration platforms, such as documentation systems, issue tracking systems, project management platforms, and other platforms. The systems and methods described use a network architecture that includes a prompt generation service and a set of one or more purpose-configured large language model instances (LLMs) and/or other trained classifiers or natural language processors used to provide generative responses for content collaboration platforms.

cause display, on a client device, of a graphical user interface of a frontend of the collaboration platform, the graphical user interface comprising including user-generated content of an electronic document;

in response to receiving a user input provided with respect to a text string of the user-generated content, cause display of a selectable content control with respect to the text string;

in response to receiving a user selection of the selectable content control, query a data store to obtain structured data identified using the text string;

extract description content from the structured data and generate a prompt comprising:

a prompt template designating a proposed action; and

at least a portion of the extracted description content;

provide the prompt to an external generative output engine;

obtain a generative response from the external generative output engine, the generative response generated in accordance with the proposed action and using the extracted description content;

cause display of an interface element overlapping at least a portion of the user-generated content at a location proximate to the text string; and

cause the generative response to be displayed within the interface element.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein causing the generative response to be displayed within the interface element includes:

causing display of a selectable insertion element and a selectable replacement element, wherein:

in response to receiving a user selection of the selectable insertion element, the generative response is inserted proximate to the text string; and
