Abstract

A composition of psilocin that is stable including at least one agent or chemical modification that provides enhanced stability. A method making stable psilocin, by providing a formulation of psilocin including at least one agent or chemical modification that provides enhanced stability. A method of treatment of a disease or condition, by administering a composition of psilocin that is stable to an individual, and treating the disease or condition.

35 . A crystalline form of psilocin having X-ray power diffraction signals at about 19.42° 2θ, about 19.62° 2θ, and about 23.65° 2θ, using Cu K alpha radiation when measured at 296K.

36 . The crystalline form of claim 35 , having at least one additional signal at about 8.35° 2θ or about 21.08° 2θ, using Cu K alpha radiation when measured at 296K.

37 . The crystalline form of claim 36 , having at least one additional signal at about 16.73° 2θ or about 20.87° 2θ, using Cu K alpha radiation when measured at 296K.

38 . The crystalline form of claim 37 , having at least one additional signal at about 12.59° 2θ, about 17.63° 2θ, or about 26.77° 2θ, using Cu K alpha radiation when measured at 296K.

39 . A crystalline form of psilocin tartrate having X-ray power diffraction signals at about 17.54° 2θ, about 19.46° 2θ, and about 23.46° 2θ, using Cu K alpha radiation when measured at 296K.

40 . The crystalline form of claim 39 , having at least one additional signal at about 16.26° 2θ or about 20.54° 2θ, using Cu K alpha radiation when measured at 296K.

41 . The crystalline form of claim 40 , having at least one additional signal at about 24.46° 2θ or about 27.96° 2θ, using Cu K alpha radiation when measured at 296K.

42 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising the crystalline form of claim 35 and at least one agent that provides enhanced stability.

43 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 42 , wherein the agent that provides enhanced stability is a photostabilizing agent or an antioxidant.

44 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising the crystalline form of claim 39 and at least one agent that provides enhanced stability.

45 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 44 , wherein the agent that provides enhanced stability is a photostabilizing agent or an antioxidant.

46 . A method of treating anxiety, comprising administering to a subject a crystalline form of claim 35 .

47 . A method of treating depression, comprising administering to a subject a crystalline form of claim 35 .

48 . A method of treating anxiety, comprising administering to a subject a crystalline form of claim 39 .

49 . A method of treating depression, comprising administering to a subject a crystalline form of claim 39 .

50 . A method of treating anxiety, comprising administering to a subject a pharmaceutical composition of claim 42 .

51 . A method of treating depression, comprising administering to a subject a pharmaceutical composition of claim 42 .

52 . A method of treating anxiety, comprising administering to a subject a pharmaceutical composition of claim 44 .
