Abstract

A multilayer roofing material includes a first layer, a second layer, a third layer, and a fourth layer. The first layer is a topmost layer and a color layer. The first layer comprises a UV stabilizer. The second layer comprises TPO. The second layer is a white layer. The third layer comprises a scrim. The third layer contacts the second layer and the second layer is between the first layer and third layer. The fourth layer comprises TPO. The fourth layer is a core layer. The fourth layer contacts the third layer.

Claims (54)

1. A multilayer roofing material, comprising:

a first layer,

wherein the first layer is a topmost layer,

wherein the first layer is a color layer,

wherein the first layer comprises a UV stabilizer;

a second layer,

wherein the second layer comprises TPO,

wherein the second layer is a white layer;

a third layer,

wherein the third layer comprises a scrim,

wherein the third layer contacts the second layer,

wherein the second layer is between the first layer and third layer;

and

a fourth layer,

wherein the fourth layer comprises TPO,

wherein the fourth layer is a core layer,

wherein the fourth layer contacts the third layer.

2. The multilayer roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the scrim is a reinforcing polyester scrim.

3. The multilayer roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the first layer comprises a color pigment.

4. The multilayer roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the second layer comprises at least one of a titanium dioxide pigment, a UV stabilizer package, or a fire retardant.

5. The multilayer roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the fourth layer has a dark color.

6. The multilayer roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the fourth layer comprises at least one of carbon black, titanium dioxide, a UV stabilizer package, or a fire retardant.

7. The multilayer roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the first layer comprises at least two sublayers.

8. The multilayer roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the second layer comprises at least two sublayers.

9. The multilayer roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the fourth layer is a dark color and comprises at least one of carbon black, titanium dioxide, a UV stabilizer package, or a fire retardant.

10. The multilayer roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the fourth layer is about 22 mil.

11. The multilayer roofing material of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first, second, third or fourth layers comprises a film.

12. A multilayer roofing material, comprising:

a first layer,

wherein the first layer is a topmost layer,

wherein the first layer is a color layer,

wherein the first layer comprises a thermal stabilizer;

a second layer,

wherein the second layer comprises TPO,

wherein the second layer is a white layer;

a third layer,

wherein the third layer comprises a scrim,

wherein the third layer contacts the second layer,

wherein the second layer is between the first layer and third layer;

and

a fourth layer,

wherein the fourth layer comprises TPO,

wherein the fourth layer is a core layer,

wherein the fourth layer contacts the third layer.

13. The multilayer roofing material of claim 12 , wherein the scrim is a reinforcing polyester scrim.

14. The multilayer roofing material of claim 12 , wherein the first layer comprises a color pigment.

15. The multilayer roofing material of claim 12 , wherein the second layer comprises at least one of a titanium dioxide pigment, or a fire retardant.

16. The multilayer roofing material of claim 12 , wherein the fourth layer has a dark color.

17. The multilayer roofing material of claim 12 , wherein the fourth layer comprises at least one of a UV stabilizer package, or a fire retardant.

18. The multilayer roofing material of claim 12 , wherein the first layer comprises at least two sublayers.

19. The multilayer roofing material of claim 12 , wherein the second layer comprises at least two sublayers.

20. The multilayer roofing material of claim 12 , wherein the fourth layer is a dark color and comprises at least one of carbon black, titanium dioxide or a fire retardant.

21. The multilayer roofing material of claim 12 , wherein the fourth layer is about 22 mil.

22. The multilayer roofing material of claim 12 , wherein at least one of the first, second, third or fourth layers comprises a film.
