Abstract

Polymorphic forms of lysergic acid diethyl amide (LSD) in crystalline salt forms. A pharmaceutical formulation of polymorphic forms of LSD in crystalline salt forms including pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. Polymorphic forms of LSD free-base. Polymorphic forms of a salt form of LSD.

Claims (22)

53 . A crystalline salt form of LSD comprising D-LSD free-base and an acid, wherein the acid is maleic acid, phosphoric acid, benzoic acid, or xinafoic acid.

54 . The crystalline salt form of claim 53 , wherein said acid is maleic acid, and said crystalline salt form is characterized by an x-ray powder diffraction pattern (XRPD) obtained by irradiation with Cu Kα x-rays having peaks expressed as 2θ at about 17.4 and about 22.1.

55 . The crystalline salt form of claim 54 , wherein the crystalline salt form is further characterized by one or more XRPD signals expressed as 2θ at about 8.4, about 14.7, or about 15.1.

56 . The crystalline salt form of claim 54 , wherein the crystalline salt form is characterized by an XRPD pattern as shown in FIG. 4 .

57 . The crystalline salt form of claim 54 , wherein the crystalline salt form is further characterized by a TGA pattern as shown in FIG. 34 .

58 . The crystalline salt form of claim 54 , wherein the crystalline salt form is further characterized by a DSC profile as shown in FIG. 34 .

59 . The crystalline salt form of claim 53 , wherein said acid is phosphoric acid, and said crystalline salt form C is characterized by an x-ray powder diffraction pattern (XRPD) obtained by irradiation with Cu Kα x-rays having peaks expressed as 2θ at about 15.0 and about 21.1.

60 . The crystalline salt form of claim 59 , wherein the crystalline salt form is further characterized by one or more XRPD signals expressed as 2θ at about 7.8, about 8.5, about 12.8, or about 15.1.

61 . The crystalline salt form of claim 59 , wherein the crystalline salt form is characterized by an XRPD pattern as shown in FIG. 37 .

62 . The crystalline salt form of claim 59 , wherein the crystalline salt form is further characterized by a DSC thermogram as shown in FIG. 36 .

63 . The crystalline salt form of claim 53 , wherein said acid is benzoic acid, and said crystalline salt form A is characterized by an x-ray powder diffraction pattern obtained by irradiation with Cu Kα x-rays having peaks expressed as 2θ at about 8.5 and about 16.6.

64 . The crystalline salt form of claim 63 , wherein the crystalline salt form is further characterized by one or more XRPD signals expressed as 2θ at about 14.6, about 18.5, or about 19.0.

65 . The crystalline salt form of claim 63 , wherein the crystalline salt form is characterized by an XRPD pattern as shown in FIG. 10 .

66 . The crystalline salt form of claim 63 , wherein the crystalline salt form is further characterized by a TGA pattern as shown in FIG. 25 .

67 . The crystalline salt form of claim 63 , wherein the crystalline salt form is further characterized by a DSC profile as shown in FIG. 25 .

68 . The crystalline salt form of claim 53 , wherein said acid is xinafoic acid, and said crystalline salt form is characterized by an x-ray powder diffraction pattern obtained by irradiation with Cu Kα x-rays having peaks expressed as 2θ at about 15.6 and about 21.6.

69 . The crystalline salt form of claim 68 , wherein the crystalline salt form is further characterized by one or more XRPD signals expressed as 2θ at about 10.2, about 11.6, or about 13.3.

70 . The crystalline salt form of claim 68 , wherein the crystalline salt form is characterized by an XRPD pattern as shown in FIG. 5 .

71 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising the crystalline salt form of claim 53 , and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients.

72 . A method of treating anxiety, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof the crystalline salt form of claim 53 .

73 . A method of treating depression, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof the crystalline salt form of claim 53 .
