PORTABLE BEVERAGE CONTAINER
A portable beverage container is provided. The portable beverage container may include a glass vessel having a neck; a metal outer shell configured to surround a first portion of the glass vessel; a cap configured to engage with the metal outer shell to surround a second portion of the glass vessel; and an amorphous thermoplastic spout having a neck configured to be inserted through an opening in the cap and into the neck of the glass vessel. The spout may be configured to securely engage with the cap. The cap may include a lid with an elastomeric sealing member having a knob configured to extend into a recess in the spout and a recess configured to wrap around and over a lip of the spout. The spout may be removable from the cap while the cap is engaged with the outer shell.
1 . A portable beverage container, comprising:
an inner vessel including a neck, a bottom end, and a shoulder disposed between the neck and the bottom end;
an outer shell including a first portion configured to surround the shoulder of the inner vessel, an outer shell threaded member, and a second portion configured to surround the bottom end of the inner vessel;
a cap configured to surround the neck of the inner vessel, the cap including a cap threaded member configured to engage with the outer shell threaded member to secure the cap to the first portion of the outer shell;
an upper shock absorber disposed between the shoulder of the inner vessel and the first portion of the outer shell; and
a lower shock absorber disposed between the bottom end of the inner vessel and the second portion of the outer shell.
2 . The portable beverage container of claim 1 , wherein the lower shock absorber forms one or more drainage channels between the bottom end of the inner vessel and the second portion of the outer shell.
3 . The portable beverage container of claim 1 , wherein the lower shock absorber forms a foot configured to protrude into an opening in the second portion of the outer shell.
4 . The portable beverage container of claim 1 , wherein the lower shock absorber forms one or more ribs extending outwardly away from the bottom end of the inner vessel and towards the second portion of the outer shell.
5 . The portable beverage container of claim 1 , further comprising a gasket removably coupled to the cap and being configured to sealingly engage the neck of the inner vessel while the cap is secured to the first portion of the outer shell.
6 . The portable beverage container of claim 1 , wherein the inner vessel is a glass vessel.
7 . The portable beverage container of claim 6 , wherein the outer shell is a metal shell.
8 . The portable beverage container of claim 6 , wherein the outer shell is a plastic shell.
9 . A portable beverage container, comprising:
an inner vessel including a neck, a bottom end, and a shoulder disposed between the neck and the bottom end;
an outer shell including a first portion configured to surround the shoulder of the inner vessel and a second portion configured to surround the bottom end of the inner vessel;
an upper shock absorber disposed between the shoulder of the inner vessel and the first portion of the outer shell; and
a lower shock absorber disposed between the bottom end of the inner vessel and the second portion of the outer shell, the lower shock absorber forming:
one or more drainage channels between the bottom end of the inner vessel and the second portion of the outer shell; and
a foot configured to protrude into an opening in the second portion of the outer shell.
10 . The portable beverage container of claim 9 , wherein the foot extends from the bottom end of the inner vessel and away from the neck of the inner vessel.
11 . The portable beverage container of claim 9 , wherein the lower shock absorber forms one or more ribs extending outwardly away from the bottom end of the inner vessel and towards the second portion of the outer shell.
12 . The portable beverage container of claim 9 , further comprising a cap configured to be secured to the first portion of the outer shell and surround the neck of the inner vessel.
13 . The portable beverage container of claim 12 , further comprising a gasket removably coupled to the cap and being configured to sealingly engage the neck of the inner vessel while the cap is secured to the first portion of the outer shell.
14 . The portable beverage container of claim 9 , wherein the inner vessel is a glass vessel.
15 . The portable beverage container of claim 14 , wherein the outer shell is a metal shell.
16 . A portable beverage container, comprising:
an inner vessel including a neck, a bottom end, and a shoulder disposed between the neck and the bottom end;
an outer shell including a first portion configured to surround the shoulder of the inner vessel and a second portion configured to surround the bottom end of the inner vessel;
an upper shock absorber disposed between the shoulder of the inner vessel and the first portion of the outer shell; and
a lower shock absorber disposed between the bottom end of the inner vessel and the second portion of the outer shell, the lower shock absorber forming:
one or more ribs extending outwardly away from the bottom end of the inner vessel and towards the second portion of the outer shell; and
one or more drainage channels between the bottom end of the inner vessel and the second portion of the outer shell.
17 . The portable beverage container of claim 16 , further comprising a cap configured to be secured to the first portion of the outer shell and surround the neck of the inner vessel.
18 . The portable beverage container of claim 17 , further comprising a gasket removably coupled to the cap and being configured to sealingly engage the neck of the inner vessel while the cap is secured to the first portion of the outer shell.
19 . The portable beverage container of claim 16 , wherein the inner vessel is a glass vessel.
20 . The portable beverage container of claim 19 , wherein the outer shell is a plastic shell.
