Abstract

Systems and methods for a central user interface for accessing, and upgrading of, dataset integrations. An example method includes accessing, by a system of one or more processors, datasets stored via respective outside devices or systems. The datasets are integrated by the system according to respective integration tiers, with each integration tier being associated with, at least, a respective subset of search functionality enabled via the system. An interactive user interface is presented via a user device, with the interactive user interface presenting summary information. The interactive user interface further enables adjustment of a particular dataset from a first integration tier to a second integration tier.

Claims (33)

1 . (canceled)

2 . A computer-implemented method comprising:

integrating, by one or more systems, a plurality of datasets according to respective integration tiers of a plurality of integration tiers,

wherein a first integration tier causes a first index associated with a first dataset to be stored by the one or more systems, wherein the first dataset is stored by an outside device or system, wherein information included in the first dataset is returned to the one or more systems by the outside device or system in response to search requests, and wherein a second integration tier causes a second index associated with a second dataset, and the second dataset, to be stored by the one or more systems;

generating, by the one or more systems, usage metrics associated with individual integrated datasets, the usage metrics being indicative of use associated with the individual integrated datasets; and

identifying, based on the usage metrics and relationship information between at least a first and a second dataset, an adjustment of integration tier associated with the first dataset.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the usage metrics include a number of records promoted by the one or more systems for the individual integrated datasets.

4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the usage metrics include a number of enrichments performed on the individual integrated datasets.

5 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the usage metrics include a number of searches and a number of loads involving the individual integrated datasets.

6 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the relationship information indicates that the second dataset includes information determined, by the one or more systems, to be important to an understanding of the first dataset.

7 . The method of claim 2 , wherein identifying the adjustment comprises determining a recommendation to change the integration tier of the first dataset to a different tier within the plurality of integration tiers.

8 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the identified adjustment is selected to optimize utilization of virtualized processing or memory resources of the one or more systems based on the usage metrics.

9 . A system comprising one or more processors and non-transitory computer storage media storing instructions that when executed by the one or more processors cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

integrating a plurality of datasets according to respective integration tiers of a plurality of integration tiers,

wherein a first integration tier causes a first index associated with a first dataset to be stored, wherein the first dataset is stored by an outside device or system, wherein information included in the first dataset is returned by the outside device or system in response to search requests, and wherein a second integration tier causes a second index associated with a second dataset, and the second dataset, to be stored;

generating usage metrics associated with individual integrated datasets, the usage metrics being indicative of use associated with the individual integrated datasets; and

identifying, based on the usage metrics and relationship information between at least a first and a second dataset, an adjustment of integration tier associated with the first dataset.

10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the usage metrics include a number of records promoted for the individual integrated datasets.

11 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the usage metrics include a number of enrichments performed on the individual integrated datasets.

12 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the usage metrics include a number of searches and a number of loads involving the individual integrated datasets.

13 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the relationship information indicates that the second dataset includes information determined to be important to an understanding of the first dataset.

14 . The system of claim 9 , wherein identifying the adjustment comprises determining a recommendation to change the integration tier of the first dataset to a different tier within the plurality of integration tiers.

15 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the identified adjustment is selected to optimize utilization of virtualized processing or memory resources associated with the system based on the usage metrics.

16 . Non-transitory computer storage media storing instructions that when executed by a system of one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

integrating a plurality of datasets according to respective integration tiers of a plurality of integration tiers,

wherein a first integration tier causes a first index associated with a first dataset to be stored, wherein the first dataset is stored by an outside device or system, wherein information included in the first dataset is returned by the outside device or system in response to search requests, and wherein a second integration tier causes a second index associated with a second dataset, and the second dataset, to be stored;

generating usage metrics associated with individual integrated datasets, the usage metrics being indicative of use associated with the individual integrated datasets; and

identifying, based on the usage metrics and relationship information between at least a first and a second dataset, an adjustment of integration tier associated with the first dataset.

17 . The computer storage media of claim 16 , wherein the usage metrics include a number of records promoted for the individual integrated datasets.

18 . The computer storage media of claim 16 , wherein the usage metrics include a number of enrichments performed on the individual integrated datasets.

19 . The computer storage media of claim 16 , wherein the relationship information indicates that the second dataset includes information determined to be important to an understanding of the first dataset.

20 . The computer storage media of claim 16 , wherein identifying the adjustment comprises determining a recommendation to change the integration tier of the first dataset to a different tier within the plurality of integration tiers.

21 . The computer storage media of claim 16 , wherein the identified adjustment is selected to optimize utilization of virtualized processing or memory resources associated with the system based on the usage metrics.
