Abstract

Embodiments described herein relate to systems and methods for automatically generating content, generating API requests and/or request bodies, structuring user-generated content, and/or generating structured content in collaboration platforms, such as documentation systems, issue tracking systems, project management platforms, and other platforms. The systems and methods described use a network architecture that includes a prompt generation service and a set of one or more purpose-configured large language model instances (LLMs) and/or other trained classifiers or natural language processors used to provide generative responses for content collaboration platforms.

Claims (52)

1 - 20 . (canceled)

21 . A computer-implemented method for structured content generation in a documentation collaboration platform, the method comprising:

causing display of a graphical user interface having a content viewing region rendering user-generated content of an electronic document;

receiving a summary action selection for a word in the user-generated content;

querying a directory platform using a reference to the word and a permissions profile of a user;

receiving a directory entry retrieval response including description content for the word;

generating a service query content item including predefined prompt text for a summary action and the description content, the predefined prompt text including an instruction portion and an action designation portion;

providing the service query content item to a generative output engine using an application programming interface call;

receiving a generative response including a summary for the description content;

converting the generative response into structured content according to a platform-specific markup language schema; and

storing the structured content as a summary section for the electronic document.

22 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein:

the summary action selection is received via a selectable control displayed in response to a user input proximate to the word;

the user input comprises one of a hover input or a right-hand mouse button selection over the word in the user-generated content;

the selectable control is rendered over the user-generated content and comprises a plurality of selectable elements, each selectable element of the plurality of selectable elements corresponding to a different content modification action;

the plurality of selectable elements includes an explain element corresponding to the summary action; and

the summary action selection is received in response to a user selection of the explain element of the plurality of selectable elements rendered within the selectable control.

23 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the platform-specific markup language schema includes a document format schema specific to the documentation collaboration platform.

24 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , comprising causing display of the summary section within a window interface element overlaying a portion of the content viewing region.

25 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , comprising causing display of a word classifier indicating a classification of the word.

26 . The computer-implemented method of claim 25 , wherein the classification of the word indicates that the word corresponds to one of a project, a service, a team, an epic, or an initiative.

27 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the generative output engine includes a large language model.

28 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , comprising causing display of a feedback control for verification of the summary by an authenticated user.

29 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the description content includes content extracted from a home page associated with the word in the directory platform.

30 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the structured content includes a link object selectable to cause redirection to a content item related to the word.

31 . A system for structured content generation in a documentation collaboration platform, the system comprising:

a processor; and

a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the system to:

cause display of a graphical user interface having a content viewing region rendering user-generated content of an electronic document;

receive a summary action selection for a word in the user-generated content;

query a directory platform using a reference to the word and a permissions profile of a user;

receive a directory entry retrieval response including description content for the word;

generate a service query content item including predefined prompt text for a summary action and the description content, the predefined prompt text including an instruction portion and an action designation portion;

provide the service query content item to a generative output engine using an application programming interface call;

receive a generative response including a summary for the description content;

convert the generative response into structured content according to a platform-specific markup language schema; and

store the structured content as a summary section for the electronic document.

32 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the reference to the word is generated using a keyword search of the directory platform.

33 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the instructions further cause the system to render the summary section within a region positioned along a perimeter of the graphical user interface.

34 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the description content includes content extracted from a related project associated with the word.

35 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the instructions cause the system to cache the summary for subsequent requests associated with the word.

36 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the description content includes a related user identifier extracted from the directory platform.

37 . A computer-implemented method for structured content generation in a documentation collaboration platform, the method comprising:

receiving a summary action selection for a word in user-generated content of an electronic document;

obtaining description content for the word from a directory platform;

generating a service query content item including predefined prompt text and the description content;

providing the service query content item to a generative output engine;

receiving a generative response including a summary for the description content; and

storing the summary as a summary section associated with the electronic document.

38 . The computer-implemented method of claim 37 , wherein the description content is obtained from the directory platform based on a permissions profile of a user.

39 . The computer-implemented method of claim 37 , comprising causing display of the summary section within a window interface element rendered relative to the word.

40 . The computer-implemented method of claim 37 , wherein the generative response is converted into structured content according to a platform-specific markup language schema before storage.
