Combination rotating dental cleaning brush and paste device
View Patent ↗The combination rotating dental cleaning brush and paste device. The device includes a housing having a rotating shaft passing therethrough. An accordion tube has two opposed ends, a first end connected to and rotated by the shaft and a second end. A flexible conical brush is connected to and rotated by the second end of the accordion tube. Dental paste is pre-loaded and stored inside of the accordion tube whereby axial compression of the accordion tube forces the dental paste out of the second end of the accordion tube and on to the brush.
1. A combination rotating dental cleaning brush and paste device, which device comprises:
a housing having a rotating shaft therethrough;
an accordion tube having two opposed ends, a first end rotated by said shaft and a second end;
a brush connected to and rotated by said second end; and
dental paste inside said accordion tube whereby axial compression of said accordion tube forces said paste out of said second end.
2. A combination brush and paste device as set forth in claim 1 wherein said housing has a first cylindrical portion and a second portion in angular relation therewith.
3. A combination brush and paste device as set forth in claim 2 wherein said first cylindrical portion is oriented at a ninety degree (90°) angle to said second portion.
4. A combination brush and paste device as set forth in claim 1 wherein said brush is a flexible resilient conical cone.
5. A combination rotating dental cleaning brush and paste device as set forth in claim 4 wherein said second end of said tube terminates in a knob having an opening therethrough and wherein said brush attaches to said knob.
6. A method of using a combination dental cleaning brush and paste, which method comprises:
storing a quantity of dental paste in an accordion tube having two opposed ends, a first end connected to a rotating shaft and a second end;
rotating a brush connected to said accordion tube by rotation of said tube; and
axially compressing said accordion tube to force said paste out of said tube and on to said brush.
7. A method as set forth in claim 6 wherein said accordion tube may be axially compressed by pressing said brush against teeth of a patient.
8. A method as set forth in claim 6 wherein said rotating shaft passes through a cylindrical housing.
9. A method as set forth in claim 6 wherein said paste is forced out of said tube, through an opening in a knob connected to said second end, and thereafter on to said brush.
