Abstract

A method for modulating lipid metabolism in a subject by administering 9-cis retinoic acid is presented. The 9-cis retinoic acid is more specific for the retinoid X receptor than is retinoic acid.

Claims (1)

1. A method to modulate lipid metabolism in a subject, said method comprising administering to said subject an effective amount of 9-cis-retinoic acid, or pharmaceutically acceptable carrier containing same.
