Electronic devices
An electronic device, such as a thin film transistor containing a semiconductor of the Formula: wherein R, R′ and R″ are, for example, independently hydrogen, a suitable hydrocarbon, a suitable hetero-containing group, a halogen, or mixtures thereof; and n represents the number of repeating units.
1. A semiconductor homopolymer, wherein the semiconductor homopolymer is a poly(dithienylbenzo[1,2-b:4,5-b′]dithiophene) of Formula (14), (15), (16), or (17):
wherein each R′″ independently represents alkyl or substituted alkyl having from about 1 to about 35 carbon atoms; X represents F, Cl, Br, CN, or NO 2 ; and n is from about 2 to about 5,000.
2. An electronic device comprising the semiconductor homopolymer of claim 1 .
3. A semiconductor homopolymer of Formula (31), (32), or (33):
wherein the semiconductor homopolymer has a number average molecular weight (M n ) of from about 500 to about 400,000 and a weight average molecular weight (M w ) of from about 600 to about 500,000.
4. An electronic device comprising the semiconductor homopolymer of claim 3 .
5. A semiconductor homopolymer of Formula (5), (6), (7), (8), (18), or (20):
wherein each R′″ and R″″ independently represents alkyl or substituted alkyl having from about 1 to about 35 carbon atoms; X represents F, Cl, Br, CN, or NO 2 ; and n is from about 2 to about 5,000.
6. An electronic device comprising the semiconductor homopolymer of claim 5 .
