Abstract

A system and method is provided for communication of information in a mobile communication device (WMCD) configured to network connection may include discovering via a wireless mobile communication device, available communication resources based on acquired biometric data for a user of the WMCD, and communicating multimedia information between the WMCD and one or more of the discovered available resources. The acquired biometric data may include physical and behavioral biometric data to be authenticated and validated by a pattern recognition database. A connection between the WMCD and one or more discovered available resources may be established through linking the acquired biometric data to resources in available local or remote network. The established connection may enable the WMCD to consume or redirect media from the available resources and may be dynamically adjusted and updated based on dynamic sensing of the acquired biometric data in the available network or available resources.

Claims (42)

1. A method for communication of information in a wireless mobile communication device (WMCD), the method comprising:

acquiring biometric data associated with a user of the WMCD;

retrieving, based upon the acquired biometric data, a list of authorized communication resources, the available communication resources comprising a media consumption device and at least one data source storing at least one media item, the media item comprising at least one of: audio content and video content;

discovering via the WMCD, available communication resources from the list of authorized communication resources based on the acquired biometric data for a user of said WMCD;

determining that a media format of the media item stored on the at least one data source is incompatible with the media consumption device;

initiating transcoding of the media item to a compatible media format compatible with the media consumption device; and

initiating communication of the media item from the data source to the media consumption device.

2. The method according to claim 1 , comprising authenticating said acquired biometric data for said user of said WMCD.

3. The method according to claim 1 , comprising matching said acquired biometric data comprising physiological biometric data to corresponding data in a pattern recognition database.

4. The method according to claim 1 , comprising matching said acquired biometric data comprising behavioral biometric data to corresponding data in a pattern recognition database.

5. The method according to claim 1 , comprising establishing a connection between said WMCD and one or more of said discovered available resources.

6. The method according to claim 5 , comprising consuming media from said one or more of said discovered available resources on said WMCD via said established connection.

7. The method according to claim 1 , comprising, dynamically sensing said biometric data for said user of said WMCD.

8. The method according to claim 7 , comprising updating said available communication resources based on said dynamically sensed biometric data for a user of said WMCD.

9. A system for communication of information via a wireless mobile communication device (WMCD), the system comprising:

one or more circuits that discover biometric data associated with a user of the WMCD;

said one or more circuits retrieves, based upon the acquired biometric data, a list of authorized communication resources, the available communication resources comprising a media consumption device and at least one data source storing at least one media item, the media item comprising at least one of: audio content and video content;

said one or more circuits that discovers via the WMCD, available communication resources based on the acquired biometric data for a user of said WMCD;

said one or more circuits determines that a media format of the media item stored on the at least one data source is incompatible with the media consumption device;

said one or more circuits initiates transcoding of the media item to a compatible media format compatible with the media consumption device; and

said one or more circuits initiates communication of the media item from the data source to the media consumption device.

10. The system according to claim 9 , wherein said one or more circuits authenticates said acquired biometric data for said user of said WMCD.

11. The system according to claim 9 , wherein said one or more circuits matches said acquired biometric data comprising physiological biometric data to corresponding data in a pattern recognition database.

12. The system according to claim 9 , wherein said one or more circuits matches said acquired biometric data comprising behavioral biometric data to corresponding data in a pattern recognition database.

13. The system according to claim 9 , wherein said one or more circuits establishes a connection between said WMCD and one or more of said discovered available resources.

14. The system according to claim 13 , wherein said one or more circuits consumes media from said one or more of said discovered available resources on said WMCD via said established connection.

15. The system according to claim 9 , wherein said one or more circuits dynamically senses said biometric data for said user of said WMCD.

16. The system according to claim 15 , wherein said one or more circuits updates said available communication resources based on said dynamically sensed biometric data for a user of said WMCD.

17. A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon, a computer program having at least one code section for data communication, the at least one code section being executable by a machine for causing the machine to perform steps comprising:

acquiring biometric data associated with a user of a wireless mobile communication device (WMCD);

retrieving, based upon the acquired biometric data, a list of authorized communication resources, the available communication resources comprising a media consumption device and at least one data source storing at least one media item, the media item comprising at least one of: audio content and video content;

discovering via the WMCD, available communication resources from the list of authorized communication resources based on the acquired biometric data for a user of said WMCD;

determining that a media format of the media item stored on the at least one data source is incompatible with the media consumption device;

initiating transcoding of the media item to a compatible media format compatible with the media consumption device; and

initiating communication of the media item from the data source to the media consumption device.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 17 , wherein said at least one code section comprises code for authenticating said acquired biometric data for said user of said WMCD.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 17 , wherein said at least one code section comprises code for matching said acquired biometric data comprising physiological biometric data to corresponding data in a pattern recognition database.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 17 , wherein said at least one code section comprises code for matching said acquired biometric data comprising behavioral biometric data to corresponding data in a pattern recognition database.

21. The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 17 , wherein said at least one code section comprises code for establishing a connection between said WMCD and one or more of said discovered available resources.

22. The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 21 , wherein said at least one code section comprises code for consuming media from said one or more of said discovered available resources on said WMCD via said established connection.
