RFID tag for use in dosimetry
Described is a dosimeter sled comprising: one or more optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) sensors mounted in the dosimeter sled and an RFID tag comprising an antenna for communicating with an RFID tag reader and a non-volatile memory for storing data therein.
1. A device comprising:
a dosimeter sled comprising:
one or more optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) sensors mounted in the dosimeter sled; and
an RFID tag comprising:
an antenna for communicating with an RFID tag read/writer, and
a non-volatile memory for storing data.
2. The device of claim 1 , wherein the dosimeter sled is separable from the dosimeter.
3. The device of claim 1 , wherein the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag has data stored therein.
4. The device of claim 1 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises identification information for a model type of the dosimeter.
5. The device of claim 1 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises a unique identifier for the dosimeter.
6. The device of claim 1 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises data information regarding the assignment of the dosimeter to an individual.
7. The device of claim 6 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises identification number for the individual to whom the dosimeter is assigned.
8. The device of claim 6 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises time information regarding the assignment of the dosimeter to an individual.
9. The device of claim 1 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises calibration data for each of the one or more OSL sensors.
10. The device of claim 1 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises data information for estimating a build up of background radiation in the dosimeter.
11. The device of claim 10 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises time information for estimating a build up of background radiation in the dosimeter.
12. The device of claim 1 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises a total dose of radiation to which the dosimeter has been exposed.
13. The device of claim 1 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises a total dose of x-rays and gamma rays to which the dosimeter has been exposed.
14. The device of claim 1 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises a total dose total dose of neutrons to which the dosimeter has been exposed.
15. The device of claim 1 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises reader quality control data depicting the operability of a dosimeter reader that is being used to read the one or more OSL sensors.
16. The device of claim 1 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises the serial number of the dosimeter reader used to perform the last dosage measurement.
17. A device comprising:
a dosimeter sled comprising:
one or more optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) sensors mounted in the dosimeter sled; and
an RFID tag comprising:
an antenna for communicating with an RFID tag read/writer, and
a non-volatile memory for storing data, wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises at least data information regarding the assignment of the dosimeter to an individual; and
wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises calibration data for each of the one or more OSL sensors.
18. The device of claim 17 , wherein the dosimeter sled is a part of a dosimeter, and wherein the dosimeter sled is separable from the dosimeter.
19. The device of claim 17 , wherein the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag has data stored therein.
20. The device of claim 17 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises identification information for a model type of the dosimeter.
21. The device of claim 17 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises a unique identifier for the dosimeter.
22. The device of claim 17 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises identification number for the individual to whom the dosimeter is assigned.
23. The device of claim 17 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises time information regarding the assignment of the dosimeter to an individual.
24. The device of claim 17 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises data information for estimating a build up of background radiation in the dosimeter.
25. The device of claim 17 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises time information for estimating a build up of background radiation in the dosimeter.
26. The device of claim 17 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises a total dose of radiation to which the dosimeter has been exposed.
27. The device of claim 17 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises a total dose of x-rays and gamma rays to which the dosimeter has been exposed.
28. The device of claim 17 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises a total dose total dose of neutrons to which the dosimeter has been exposed.
29. The device of claim 17 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises reader quality control data depicting the operability of a dosimeter reader that is being used to read the one or more OSL sensors.
30. The device of claim 17 , wherein the data stored in the non-volatile memory of the RFID tag comprises the serial number of the dosimeter reader used to perform the last dosage measurement.
