Claims (27)

1. A vehicle wheel chock tire engager for a vehicle wheel chock, said vehicle wheel chock tire engager comprising:

a plurality of connected pivot members pivotally attachable to a front portion of a body of the vehicle wheel chock, said front portion defining a plurality of pivot recess areas and defining a plurality of securing slots in the pivot recess areas; and

a plurality of securing tongues attached to the pivot members, said tire engager securing tongues configured to be received in the securing slots to prevent undesired pivoting of the pivot members when the pivot members are attached to the front portion of the body of the vehicle wheel chock and are in an extended position.

2. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 1 , wherein each of the pivot member defines an oval pivot member adjustment slot.

3. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 1 , which is an inner tire engager.

4. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 1 , which is an inner tire engager interlockable with an outer tire engager which is pivotally attachable to the front portion of the body of the vehicle wheel chock.

5. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 4 , which includes a plurality of steps.

6. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 1 , which is an outer tire engager.

7. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 1 , which is an outer tire engager interlockable with an inner tire engager pivotally attachable to the front portion of the body of the vehicle wheel chock.

8. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 7 , which includes a plurality of steps.

9. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 1 , which includes a plurality of reinforcing ribs.

10. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 1 , wherein each pivot member includes an arm and a hand, and wherein the securing tongues are attached to the hands.

11. A vehicle wheel chock tire engager for a vehicle wheel chock, said vehicle chock tire engager pivotally attachable to a front portion of a body of the vehicle wheel chock, said front portion defining: (a) a first pivot recess area, (b) a second pivot recess area, (c) a first securing slot in the first pivot recess area, and (d) a second securing slot in the second pivot recess area, said vehicle wheel chock tire engager comprising:

a first pivot member;

a first securing tongue attached to the first pivot member and configured to be received in the first securing slot to prevent undesired pivoting of the first pivot member when the first pivot member is attached to the front portion of the body of the vehicle wheel chock and is in an extended position;

a second pivot member connected to the first pivot member; and

a second securing tongue attached to the second pivot member and configured to be received in the second securing slot to prevent undesired pivoting of the second pivot member when the second pivot member is attached to the front portion of the body of the vehicle wheel chock and is in the extended position.

12. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 11 , wherein the first pivot member defines a first oval pivot member adjustment slot.

13. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 12 , wherein the second pivot member defines a second oval pivot member adjustment slot.

14. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 11 , which is an inner tire engager.

15. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 11 , which is an inner tire engager interlockable with an outer tire engager which is pivotally attachable to the front portion of the body of the vehicle wheel chock.

16. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 15 , which includes a plurality of steps.

17. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 11 , which is an outer tire engager.

18. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 11 , which is an outer tire engager interlockable with an inner tire engager which is pivotally attachable to the front portion of the body of the vehicle wheel chock.

19. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 18 , which includes a plurality of steps.

20. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 11 , wherein the first pivot member includes a first arm and a first hand, and wherein the first securing tongue is attached to the first hand.

21. The vehicle wheel chock tire engager of claim 20 , wherein the second pivot member includes a second arm and a second hand, and wherein the second securing tongue is attached to the second hand.
